¹⁹ Then some Jews^(A) came from Antioch and Iconium^(B) and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul^(C) and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead.

¹¹ persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch,^(A) Iconium^(B) and Lystra,^(C) the persecutions I endured.^(D) Yet the Lord rescued^(E) me from all of them.^(F)

²⁵ Three times I was beaten with rods,^(A) once I was pelted with stones,^(B) three times I was shipwrecked,^(C) I spent a night and a day in the open sea,

⁵⁰ But the Jewish leaders incited the God-fearing women of high standing and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.^{(A) 51} So they shook the dust off their feet^(B) as a warning to them and went to Iconium.^(C)

⁵ There was a plot afoot among both Gentiles and Jews,^(A) together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them.^(B)

⁴⁵ When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. They began to contradict what Paul was saying^(A) and heaped abuse^(B) on him.

²³ Are they servants of Christ?^(A) (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder,^(B) been in prison more frequently,^(C) been flogged more severely,^(D) and been exposed to death again and again.^(E)

¹² And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate^(A) to make the people holy^(B) through his own blood.^{(C) 13} Let us, then, go to him^(D) outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.^(E)

⁵⁸ dragged him out of the city^(A) and began to stone him.^(B) Meanwhile, the witnesses^(C) laid their coats^(D) at the feet of a young man named Saul.^(E)
