2 Timothy 1
King James Version
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

2 до Тимотея, възлюбено чедо: благодат, милост, мир от Бога Отца и от Христа Иисуса, Господа нашего.
3 (A)Благодаря Богу, Комуто още от прародители служа с чиста съвест, задето непрестанно те споменувам в молитвите си денем и нощем,
4 като, при спомена за твоите сълзи, копнея да те видя, за да се изпълня с радост,
5 и като си спомням за твоята нелицемерна вяра, която по-рано я имаше у баба ти Лоида и майка ти Евника, а убеден съм, има я и в тебе.
6 (B)Затова ти напомням да разпалят Божия дар, който е в тебе чрез моето ръковъзлагане.
7 (C)Защото Бог не ни е дал дух на боязливост, а дух на сила, любов и целомъдрие.
8 (D)И тъй, не се срамувай от страданията на Господа нашего Иисуса Христа, нито от мене, Негов окованик, а стани участник в страданията за благовестието Христово по силата на Бога,
9 (E)Който ни спаси и повика към свето звание, не заради нашите дела, а по Свое благоволение и благодат, дадена нам в Христа Иисуса преди вечни времена,
10 (F)а открита сега с явяването на нашия Спасител Иисуса Христа, Който унищожи смъртта и извади наяве живот и нетление чрез благовестието,
11 (G)за което съм поставен аз проповедник, апостол и учител на езичниците.
12 Затова и така страдам; ала не се срамувам, понеже зная в Кого съм повярвал и съм уверен, че Той е мощен да запази моя залог за оня ден.
13 (H)Имай за образец здравите думи, които си чул от мене, с вяра и любов в Христа Иисуса.
14 (I)Запази добрия залог чрез Духа Светаго, Който живее в нас.
15 Знаеш това, че ме изоставиха всички от Асия, между които и Фигел и Ермоген.
16 (J)Господ да даде милост на дома на Онисифора, защото много пъти ме успокои и се не посрами от веригите ми,
17 но, като дойде в Рим, с голямо старание ме потърси и намери.
18 (K)Нека Господ му даде да намери милост у Него в оня ден; а колко ми услужи той в Ефес, ти по-добре знаеш.

Fidelidad y dinamismo en el servicio cristiano
3 Doy gracias a Dios(H), a quien sirvo(I) con limpia conciencia(J) como lo hicieron mis antepasados[a], de que sin cesar, noche y día, me acuerdo de ti en mis oraciones[b](K), 4 deseando verte(L), al acordarme de tus lágrimas(M), para llenarme de alegría. 5 Porque tengo presente[c] la fe sincera[d] que hay en ti, la cual habitó primero en tu abuela Loida(N) y en tu madre Eunice(O), y estoy seguro que en ti también. 6 Por lo cual te recuerdo que avives el fuego del don de Dios que hay en ti por la imposición de mis manos(P). 7 Porque no nos ha dado Dios espíritu de cobardía(Q), sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio[e]. 8 Por tanto, no te avergüences(R) del testimonio de nuestro Señor(S), ni de mí, prisionero suyo(T), sino participa conmigo en las aflicciones(U) por el evangelio, según el poder de Dios(V), 9 quien nos ha salvado(W) y nos ha llamado(X) con un llamamiento santo(Y), no según nuestras obras(Z), sino según su propósito(AA) y según la gracia que nos fue dada en Cristo Jesús(AB) desde la eternidad[f](AC), 10 y que ahora ha sido manifestada(AD) por la aparición de nuestro Salvador(AE) Cristo Jesús(AF), quien abolió la muerte(AG) y sacó a la luz la vida y la inmortalidad por medio del evangelio, 11 para el cual[g] yo fui constituido predicador[h], apóstol y maestro(AH). 12 Por lo cual también sufro estas cosas, pero no me avergüenzo(AI); porque yo sé en quién he creído, y estoy convencido de que es poderoso(AJ) para guardar mi depósito[i](AK) hasta[j] aquel día(AL). 13 Retén(AM) la norma[k](AN) de las sanas palabras(AO) que has oído de mí(AP), en la fe y el amor(AQ) en Cristo Jesús(AR). 14 Guarda, mediante el Espíritu Santo que habita en nosotros(AS), el tesoro que te ha sido encomendado[l](AT).
15 Ya sabes esto, que todos los que están en Asia[m](AU) me han vuelto la espalda(AV), entre los cuales están Figelo y Hermógenes. 16 Conceda el Señor misericordia a la casa de Onesíforo(AW), porque muchas veces me dio refrigerio y no se avergonzó(AX) de mis cadenas[n](AY), 17 antes bien, cuando estuvo en Roma, me buscó con afán y me halló; 18 que el Señor le conceda hallar misericordia del Señor en aquel día(AZ). Además, los servicios que prestó en Efeso(BA), tú lo sabes mejor.
