^26 (A)And he ruled over all the kings ^(B)from the Euphrates^[a] to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt.

^{21 [a] (A)}Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the ^(B)Euphrates^[b] to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt. ^(C)They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ^(A)“To your offspring I give^[a] this land, from ^(B)the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,

²⁴ For he had dominion over all the region west of the Euphrates^[a] from Tiphsah to ^(A)Gaza, over all the kings west of the Euphrates. ^(B)And he had peace on all sides around him.

^31 (A)And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates,^[a] for ^(B)I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.

¹⁶ On his robe and on his thigh ^(A)he has a name written, ^(B)King of kings and Lord of lords.

^2 (A)This is the land that yet remains: all the ^(B)regions of the Philistines, and all those of the Geshurites ³ (from the ^(C)Shihor, which is east of Egypt, northward to the boundary of Ekron, it is counted as Canaanite; ^(D)there are five rulers of the Philistines, those of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron), and those of ^(E)the Avvim, ⁴ in the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the boundary of ^(F)the Amorites, ⁵ and the land of the ^(G)Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from ^(H)Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to ^(I)Lebo-hamath, ⁶ all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to ^(J)Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians. I myself will drive ^(K)them out from before the people of Israel. Only ^(L)allot the land to Israel ^(M)for an inheritance, as I have commanded you. ⁷ Now therefore ^(N)divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and half the tribe of Manasseh.”
