But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho and all his army was scattered from him. Then the (D)king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah (E)before his eyes at Riblah; the king of Babylon also slew all the (F)nobles of Judah. He then (G)blinded Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him in (H)fetters of bronze to bring him to (I)Babylon. The Chaldeans also (J)burned with fire the king’s palace and the houses of the people, and they (K)broke down the walls of Jerusalem. As for the rest of the people who were left in the city, the [a](L)deserters who had gone over to him and (M)the rest of the people who remained, (N)Nebuzaradan the (O)captain of the bodyguard carried them into exile in Babylon.
