15 Soothly, brethren, I make the gospel known to you, which I have preached to you, which also ye have taken, in which [and] ye stand,

by which also ye shall be saved [by which and ye be saved]; by which reason I have preached to you, if ye hold, if ye have not believed idly.

For I betook to you at the beginning that thing which also I have received; that Christ was dead for our sins, by the scriptures;[a]

and that he was buried, and that he rose again in the third day, after [the] scriptures;

and that he was seen to Cephas, and after these things to eleven;

afterward he was seen to more than five hundred brethren together, of which many live yet, but some be dead[b];

afterward he was seen to James, and afterward to all the apostles.

And last of all he was seen also to me, as to a dead born child [as to a mis-born child].

For I am the least of the apostles, that am not worthy to be called apostle, for I pursued the church of God.

The resurrection of the dead.

15 Brethren, as pertaining to the gospel that I preached to you, which you have also accepted, and in which you continue, by which also you are saved, I call to your mind how I preached to you – if you keep it, unless you have believed in vain. For first of all I delivered to you that which I received: how Christ died for our sins, agreeing to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day in accordance with the scriptures; and that he was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that he was seen by more than 500 brethren at once, of whom many remain to this day, and many have fallen asleep. After that he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

And last of all he was seen by me, as by one who was born out of due time. For I am the least of all the apostles, and am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the congregation of God.
