¹⁰ and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought up children, has ^(A)shown hospitality, ^(B)has washed the feet of the saints, has ^(C)cared for the afflicted, and has ^(D)devoted herself to every good work.

⁸ The saying is ^(A)trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful ^(B)to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

¹⁸ They are to do good, ^(A)to be rich in good works, to be generous and ^(B)ready to share,

Dorcas Restored to Life

³⁶ Now there was in ^(A)Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas.^[a] She was full of ^(B)good works and acts of charity.

^12 (A)Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, ^(B)they may see your good deeds and glorify God on ^(C)the day of visitation.

^13 (A)Contribute to the needs of the saints and ^(B)seek to show hospitality.

¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, so ^(A)that^[a] they may see your good works and ^(B)give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
