^47 (A)The first man was from the earth, ^(B)a man of dust; ^(C)the second man is from heaven.

^31 (A)He who comes from above ^(B)is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and ^(C)speaks in an earthly way. ^(D)He who comes from heaven ^(E)is above all.

⁷ then the Lord God formed the man of ^(A)dust from the ground and ^(B)breathed into his ^(C)nostrils the breath of life, and ^(D)the man became a living creature.

¹⁶ Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:

⁹ (^(A)In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into ^(B)the lower regions, the earth?^{[a] 10} He who descended is the one who also ^(C)ascended ^(D)far above all the heavens, that he might ^(E)fill all things.) ¹¹ And ^(F)he gave the ^(G)apostles, the prophets, the ^(H)evangelists, the ^(I)shepherds^[b] and teachers,^[c]

5 For we know that if ^(A)the tent that is ^(B)our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, ^(C)a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

⁴⁵ Thus it is written, ^(A)“The first man Adam became a living being”;^{[a] (B)}the last Adam became a ^(C)life-giving spirit.

³⁶ As for ^(A)the word that he sent to Israel, ^(B)preaching good news of ^(C)peace through Jesus Christ (^(D)he is Lord of all),
