⁸ The ^(A)sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh,
But ^(B)the prayer of the upright is His delight.

¹¹ “^(A)What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?”
Says Yahweh.
“I ^[a]have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
And the fat of fed cattle;
And in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats ^[b]I take no pleasure.

¹⁶ “^(A)Wash yourselves, ^(B)purify yourselves;
^(C)Remove the evil of your deeds from before My eyes.
^(D)Cease to do evil,
¹⁷ Learn to do good;
^(E)Seek justice,
Reprove the ruthless,
^(F)Execute justice for the ^[a]orphan,
Plead for the widow.

⁶ For ^(A)I delight in lovingkindness ^(B)rather than sacrifice,
And in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
