⁹ So ^(A)give Your slave a listening heart to judge Your people ^(B)to discern between good and evil. For who is able to ^[a]judge this glorious people of Yours?”

¹¹ And God said to him, “Because you have asked this thing and have ^(A)not asked for yourself ^[a]long life, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have you asked for the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself discernment to listen to justice, ¹² behold, ^(B)I have done according to your words. Behold, ^(C)I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you.

¹⁷ And as for these four youths, ^(A)God gave them knowledge and insight in every branch of ^[a]literature and wisdom; Daniel even understood all kinds of ^(B)visions and dreams.

² so that their ^(A)hearts may be encouraged, having been ^(B)held together in love, even unto all ^(C)the wealth of the full assurance of understanding, unto the ^(D)full knowledge of ^(E)God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, ³ in whom are hidden all ^(F)the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
