³⁶ But ^(A)to his son I will give one tribe, ^(B)that My servant David may have a lamp always before Me in Jerusalem, ^(C)the city where I have chosen for Myself to put My name.

⁴ But for David’s sake Yahweh his God gave him a ^(A)lamp in Jerusalem, to raise up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem;

¹⁹ However, Yahweh was not willing to make Judah a ruin, for the sake of David His servant, ^(A)since He had ^[a]promised him to give a ^[b]lamp to him through his sons always.

⁷ However, Yahweh was not willing to make the house of David a ruin because of the covenant which He had cut with David, ^(A)and since He had promised to give a lamp to him and his sons forever.
