天国里谁最大(A)
18 那时，门徒前来问耶稣：“天国里谁是最大的呢？” 2 耶稣叫了一个小孩子站在他们当中，说： 3 “我实在告诉你们，如果你们不回转，变成像小孩子一样，一定不能进天国。 4 所以，凡谦卑像这小孩子的，他在天国里是最大的。 5 凡因我的名接待一个这样的小孩子的，就是接待我； 6 但无论谁使一个信我的小弟兄犯罪，倒不如拿一块大磨石拴在他的颈项上，把他沉在深海里。
坚拒使人犯罪(B)
7 “这世界有祸了，因为充满使人犯罪的事。这些事是免不了的，但那使人犯罪的有祸了！ 8 如果你的一只手或一只脚使你犯罪，就把它砍下来丢掉；你一只手或一只脚进永生，总比有两只手或两只脚被投进永火里好。 9 如果你的一只眼睛使你犯罪，就把它挖出来丢掉；你一只眼睛进永生，总比有两只眼睛被投进地狱的火里好。

10 “你们要小心，不要轻视这些小弟兄中的一个。我告诉你们，他们的使者在天上，常常见到我天父的面。（有些抄本有第11节：“人子来，是要拯救失丧的人。”） 12 你们认为怎样？有一个人，他有一百只羊，如果失了一只，他会不把九十九只留在山上，去寻找那迷失的吗？ 13 我实在告诉你们，他若找到了，就为这一只羊欢喜，胜过为那九十九只没有迷失的。 14 照样，你们在天上的父是不愿意这些小弟兄中有一个失丧的。
怎样对待犯了罪的弟兄
15 “如果你的弟兄犯了罪（“犯了罪”有些抄本作“得罪你”），你趁着和他单独在一起的时候，要去指出他的过失来。如果他肯听，你就得着你的弟兄。 16 如果他不肯听，就另外带一两个人同去，好使一切话，凭两三个证人的口，可以确定。 17 如果他再不听，就告诉教会；如果连教会他也不听，就把他看作教外人和税吏吧。
18 “我实在告诉你们，你们在地上捆绑的，在天上也被捆绑；你们在地上释放的，在天上也被释放。 19 我又告诉你们，你们当中若有两个人，在地上同心为甚么事祈求，我在天上的父必为他们成全。 20 因为无论在哪里，有两三个人奉我的名聚会，我就在他们中间。”
不饶恕人的也得不着饶恕
21 那时，彼得前来问耶稣：“主啊，如果我的弟兄得罪我，我要饶恕他多少次？七次吗？” 22 耶稣对他说：“我告诉你，不是七次，而是七十个七次（“七十个七次”或译：“七十七次”）。 23 因此，天国好象一个王，要和他的仆人算帐， 24 刚算的时候，有人带了一个欠下六千万银币的人来。 25 他没有钱偿还，主人就下令叫人把他和他的妻子儿女，以及一切所有的都卖掉，用来偿还。 26 那仆人就跪下拜他，说：‘请宽容我，我会把一切还给你的。’ 27 主人动了慈心，把那仆人放了，并且免了他的债。 28 那仆人出来，遇见一个欠了他一百个银币的仆人，就抓住他，扼着他的喉咙，说：‘把你欠我的钱还给我。’ 29 那和他一同作仆人的就跪下求他，说：‘请宽容我，我会还给你的。’ 30 他却不肯，反而把他带走，关在监里，等他把所欠的还清。 31 其他的仆人看见这事，非常难过，就去向主人报告这一切事情。 32 于是主人叫他来，对他说：‘你这个恶仆，你求我，我就免了你欠我的一切。 33 难道你不应该怜悯你的同伴，好象我怜悯你一样吗？’ 34 于是主人大怒，把他送去服刑，等他把所欠的一切还清。 35 如果你们各人不从心里饶恕你的弟兄，我的天父也必这样待你们。”

18 Lúc ấy các môn đệ đến hỏi Đức Giê-su: “Ai là người lớn nhất trong Nước Thiên Đàng?”
2 Gọi một đứa bé đến, Ngài để nó đứng giữa các môn đệ, 3 và đáp: “Thật, Ta bảo các con, nếu các con không thay đổi và trở nên giống như con trẻ, các con không thể vào Nước Thiên Đàng được. 4 Vì thế, ai khiêm nhường như đứa bé này, ấy là người lớn nhất trong Nước Thiên Đàng.
5 Và nếu ai nhân danh Ta tiếp một đứa bé như thế này tức là tiếp nhận Ta.”
Tội Gây Vấp Phạm(B)
6 “Nhưng hễ ai gây cho một trong những người bé mọn đã tin Ta phạm tội, thì thà buộc cối đá vào cổ kẻ ấy và quăng xuống đáy biển còn hơn.
7 Khốn cho thế gian vì sự gây vấp phạm! Tất nhiên sự gây vấp phạm phải có, nhưng khốn cho ai là kẻ gây vấp phạm! 8 Nếu tay hay chân con gây cho con phạm tội,[a] hãy chặt và ném đi, thà con bị cụt tay hay què chân mà vào sự sống còn hơn là có đủ hai tay, hai chân mà bị ném vào lửa đời đời. 9 Nếu mắt con gây cho con phạm tội, hãy móc mắt và ném đi, thà mù một mắt mà vào sự sống còn hơn là có đủ hai mắt mà bị quăng vào lửa hỏa ngục.”

10 “Hãy cẩn thận đừng khinh dể một người nào trong những người bé mọn này; vì Ta bảo các con, các thiên sứ của chúng ở trên trời hằng thấy mặt Cha Ta ở trên trời. 11 Vì Con Người đã đến để cứu kẻ hư mất.[b]
12 Các con nghĩ thế nào? Có người kia có một trăm con chiên, một con đi lạc mất; người đó không để chín mươi chín con kia lại trên đồi và đi kiếm con bị lạc sao? 13 Khi kiếm được rồi, thật, Ta bảo các con, người đó vui mừng vì nó hơn là chín mươi chín con không bị lạc. 14 Cũng thế, Cha các con ở trên trời không muốn một người nào trong những người bé mọn này bị hư mất.”
Cách Đối Xử Với Người Anh Em Phạm Tội
15 “Nếu có một anh em có lỗi với con, hãy đến gặp riêng người mà khuyên bảo. Nếu người nghe lời thì con được lại anh em. 16 Nếu người không nghe, hãy đem một hai người theo với con đến gặp người, để nhờ lời của hai hay ba người làm chứng mà vấn đề được xác nhận.[c] 17 Nếu người vẫn không nghe họ, hãy trình với hội thánh; nếu người cũng không chịu vâng lời hội thánh, thì hãy coi người như người ngoại đạo hay kẻ thu thuế.
18 Thật, Ta bảo các con, bất cứ điều gì các con buộc ở dưới đất cũng sẽ được buộc ở trên trời, điều gì các con mở ở dưới đất, thì sẽ được mở ở trên trời.
19 Ta lại nói cùng các con, nếu hai người trong các con ở dưới đất thuận ý nhau mà cầu xin bất cứ điều gì, thì Cha Ta ở trên trời sẽ ban cho họ. 20 Vì ở đâu có hai hay ba người nhân danh Ta họp nhau lại, Ta sẽ ở giữa họ.”
Người Đầy Tớ Không Tha Thứ
21 Lúc ấy, Phê-rơ đến hỏi Đức Giê-su: “Thưa Thầy, nếu anh em con phạm tội cùng con, con sẽ tha cho họ mấy lần? Đến bảy lần chăng?”
22 Đức Giê-su đáp: “Ta bảo cho con rõ, không phải đến bảy lần, mà là bảy mươi lần bảy.
23 Vì thế, Nước Thiên Đàng ví như vua kia muốn tính sổ với các đầy tớ mình. 24 Khi bắt đầu soát sổ, người ta đem đến cho vua một người mắc nợ mười ngàn ta-lâng bạc.[d] 25 Vì người không có gì trả nợ, vua ra lệnh bán hắn cùng vợ con và tất cả tài sản để trả nợ.
26 Người đầy tớ quỳ xuống van lạy: ‘Xin ngài hoãn lại cho tôi, tôi sẽ trả hết.’ 27 Vua động lòng thương xót, thả người đầy tớ ấy ra và tha hết nợ.
28 Người đầy tớ ấy đi ra thấy một người đầy tớ khác mắc nợ mình một trăm đồng đê-na-ri,[e] liền bắt lấy, nắm cổ đòi: ‘Hãy trả nợ đây!’
29 Người đầy tớ kia quỳ xuống năn nỉ: ‘Xin anh hoãn lại cho tôi, tôi sẽ trả hết.’
30 Nhưng người đầy tớ ấy không chịu, bắt anh đầy tớ kia bỏ tù cho đến khi trả hết nợ. 31 Thấy thế, những đầy tớ khác rất buồn, họ đi báo cáo lại với vua mọi sự.
32 Vua gọi người đầy tớ ấy vào và phán: ‘Này đứa đầy tớ độc ác, vì ngươi van xin, nên Ta đã tha hết nợ cho ngươi, 33 tại sao ngươi không thương xót đồng bạn như ta đã thương xót ngươi?’ 34 Vua nổi giận, giao cho cai ngục tống giam người đầy tớ ấy cho đến khi trả hết nợ.
35 Cũng vậy, Cha Ta ở trên trời sẽ đối xử với các con như thế, nếu các con không có lòng tha thứ cho anh em mình.”

The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven(A)
18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children,(B) you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.(C) 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.(D) 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.(E)
Causing to Stumble
6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.(F) 7 Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!(G) 8 If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble,(H) cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to stumble,(I) gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.(J)
The Parable of the Wandering Sheep(K)
10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels(L) in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. [11] [a]
12 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? 13 And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. 14 In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
Dealing With Sin in the Church
15 “If your brother or sister[b] sins,[c] go and point out their fault,(M) just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[d](N) 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church;(O) and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.(P)
18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be[e] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[f] loosed in heaven.(Q)
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them(R) by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”(S)
The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me?(T) Up to seven times?”(U)
22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.[g](V)
23 “Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like(W) a king who wanted to settle accounts(X) with his servants. 24 As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold[h] was brought to him. 25 Since he was not able to pay,(Y) the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold(Z) to repay the debt.
26 “At this the servant fell on his knees before him.(AA) ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ 27 The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.
28 “But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins.[i] He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded.
29 “His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’
30 “But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31 When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.
32 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ 34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”(AB)
