耶稣被押交彼拉多(A)

15 一到清晨，祭司长和长老、经学家以及公议会全体一致议决，把耶稣绑起来，押去交给彼拉多。 2 彼拉多问他：“你是犹太人的王吗？”耶稣回答：“你已经说了（“你已经说了”或译：“这是你说的”）。” 3 祭司长控告了他许多事。 4 彼拉多又问他：“你看，他们控告你这么多的事！你甚么都不回答吗？” 5 耶稣还是一言不答，使彼拉多非常惊奇。

彼拉多判耶稣钉十字架（27:15~26；(B)

6 每逢这节期，彼拉多按着众人所要求的，照例给他们释放一个囚犯。 7 有一个人名叫巴拉巴，和作乱的人囚禁在一起，他们作乱的时候，曾杀过人。 8 群众上去，要求彼拉多援例给他们办理。 9 彼拉多回答他们：“你们要我给你们释放这个犹太人的王吗？” 10 他知道祭司长是因为嫉妒才把耶稣交了来。 11 祭司长却煽动群众，宁可要总督释放巴拉巴给他们。 12 彼拉多又对他们说：“那么，你们称为犹太人的王的，你们要我怎样处置他呢？” 13 他们就喊着说：“把他钉十字架！” 14 彼拉多说：“他作了甚么恶事呢？”众人却更加大声喊叫：“把他钉十字架！” 15 彼拉多有意讨好群众，就释放了巴拉巴给他们，把耶稣鞭打了，交给他们钉十字架。

16 士兵把耶稣带进总督府的院子里，召集了全队士兵。 17 他们给他披上紫色的外袍，又用荆棘编成冠冕给他戴上； 18 就向他祝贺说：“犹太人的王万岁！” 19 又用一根芦苇打他的头，向他吐唾沫，并且跪下来拜他。 20 他们戏弄完了，就把他的紫色的外袍脱下，给他穿回自己的衣服，带他出去，要钉十字架。

耶稣被钉十字架(D)

Jesus Delivered to Pilate

15 (A)And as soon as it was morning, the chief priests (B)held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council. And (C)they bound Jesus and (D)led him away and (E)delivered him over to (F)Pilate. 2 (G)And Pilate asked him, (H)“Are you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, (I)“You have said so.” 3 And the chief priests accused him of many things. 4 And Pilate again asked him, (J)“Have you no answer to make? See how many charges they bring against you.” 5 But Jesus (K)made no further answer, so that Pilate was amazed.

Pilate Delivers Jesus to Be Crucified

6 (L)Now at the feast he used to release for them one prisoner for whom they asked. 7 And among the rebels in prison, who had (M)committed murder (N)in the insurrection, there was a man called Barabbas. 8 And the crowd came up and began to ask Pilate to do as he usually did for them. 9 And he answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?” 10 For he perceived that (O)it was out of envy that the chief priests had delivered him up. 11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release for them Barabbas instead. 12 And Pilate again said to them, “Then what shall I do with (P)the man you call the King of the Jews?” 13 And they cried out again, “Crucify him.” 14 And Pilate said to them, “Why? (Q)What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him.” 15 So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released for them Barabbas, and having (R)scourged[a] Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Jesus Is Mocked

16 (S)And the soldiers led him away inside (T)the palace (that is, (U)the governor's headquarters),[b] and they called together the whole (V)battalion.[c] 17 And they clothed him in (W)a purple cloak, and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on him. 18 And they began to salute him, (X)“Hail, King of the Jews!” 19 And they were striking his head with a reed and (Y)spitting on him and (Z)kneeling down in homage to him. 20 And when they had (AA)mocked him, they stripped him of (AB)the purple cloak and put his own clothes on him. And they (AC)led him out to crucify him.

The Crucifixion

21 (AD)And they compelled a passerby, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to carry his cross. 22 (AE)And they brought him to the place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull). 23 And they offered him wine mixed with (AF)myrrh, but he did not take it. 24 And they crucified him and (AG)divided his garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take. 25 And (AH)it was the third hour[d] when they crucified him. 26 And the inscription of the charge against him read, (AI)“The King of the Jews.” 27 And with him they crucified two (AJ)robbers, (AK)one on his right and one on his left.[e] 29 And (AL)those who passed by derided him, (AM)wagging their heads and saying, (AN)“Aha! The Death of Jesus

33 And when the sixth hour[f] had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.[g] 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus (AV)cried with a loud voice, (AW)“Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” 35 And some of the bystanders hearing it said, “Behold, he is calling Elijah.” 36 And someone ran and filled a sponge with (AX)sour wine, put it on a reed (AY)and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.” 37 And Jesus (AZ)uttered a loud cry and (BA)breathed his last. 38 And (BB)the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. 39 (BC)And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he[h] breathed his last, he said, (BD)“Truly this man was the Son[i] of God!”

40 There were also (BE)women looking on (BF)from a distance, among whom were (BG)Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and (BH)Salome. 41 When he was in Galilee, they followed him and (BI)ministered to him, and there were also many other women who (BJ)came up with him to Jerusalem.

Jesus Is Buried

42 (BK)And when evening had come, since it was (BL)the day of Preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, (BM)a respected member of the council, who (BN)was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, took courage and went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 44 Pilate was surprised to hear that he should have already died.[j] And summoning (BO)the centurion, he asked him whether he was already dead. 45 And when he learned from (BP)the centurion that he was dead, he granted the corpse to Joseph. 46 And Joseph[k] bought (BQ)a linen shroud, and taking him down, wrapped him in the linen shroud and (BR)laid him in a tomb (BS)that had been cut out of the rock. And he rolled (BT)a stone against the entrance of the tomb. 47 (BU)Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.

15 아침이 되자마자 높은 제사장들은 장로들과 율법 선생들과 모든 의회 의원들과 더불어 예수를 어떻게 할 것인지 의논하였다. 그들은 예수를 묶어 빌라도에게 끌고 가서 그에게 예수를 넘겨주었다.

2 빌라도가 예수께 물었다. “당신이 유대 사람의 왕이오?”

예수께서 대답하셨다. “그렇소. 당신이 말한 그대로요.”

3 높은 제사장들이 예수를 여러 가지 죄목으로 고발하였다. 4 그래서 빌라도가 예수께 다시 물었다. “당신은 아무 답변도 하지 않겠소? 이 사람들이 얼마나 많은 일로 당신을 고발하는지 보시오.”

5 그러나 예수께서는 여전히 아무 말도 하지 않으셨다. 빌라도는 예수의 태도에 놀랐다.

빌라도가 예수를 놓아 주려 하나 실패하다

6 해마다 유월절 기간에는 총독이 감옥에서 죄수 한 명을 놓아 주는 일이 있었다. 그는 백성들이 원하는 사람을 놓아 주었다. 7 그때 감옥에는 바라바라는 죄수가 있었다. 그는 폭도들과 함께 감옥에 갇혀 있었다. 그들은 폭동 때에 사람을 죽인 살인자들이었다. 8 사람들이 떼를 지어 빌라도에게 가서 늘 하던 대로 죄수 하나를 놓아 달라고 청하였다.

9 빌라도가 사람들에게 물었다. “여러분은 내가 유대 사람의 왕을 놓아 주기를 원하시오?” 10 빌라도는 높은 제사장들이 예수를 시기하여 자신에게 넘겨주었다는 것을 알고 있었다. 11 그러나 그 제사장들은 무리를 부추겨서, 빌라도에게 오히려 바라바를 놓아 달라고 청하게 하였다.

12 빌라도는 그들에게 다시 물었다. “여러분이 유대 사람의 왕이라 부르는 이 사람은 어떻게 하면 좋겠소?”

13 무리가 외쳤다. “그를 십자가에 못 박으시오!”

14 빌라도가 물었다. “무슨 까닭이요? 그가 무슨 죄를 저질렀소?”

사람들은 점점 더 큰 소리로 외쳤다. “십자가에 못 박으시오!”

15 빌라도는 무리의 마음을 사고 싶었다. 그래서 그는 사람들이 원하는 대로 바라바는 풀어 주고, 예수는 채찍으로 때린 다음 십자가에 못 박으라고 넘겨주었다.

16 군인들이 예수를 궁전, 곧 총독 관저[a]로 끌고 갔다. 그들은 온 부대를 불러모았다. 17 군인들은 예수께 보라색 옷을 입히고, 가시나무로 왕관을 만들어 예수의 머리에 씌웠다. 18 그리고 큰 소리로 예수를 놀리기 시작하였다. “유대 사람의 왕이여, 안녕하십니까?” 19 군인들은 막대기로 예수의 머리를 마구 쳤다. 그들은 예수께 침 뱉고, 그 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 인사하는 체하며 놀렸다. 20 이렇게 예수를 괴롭힌 뒤에, 그들은 예수에게서 자주색 옷을 벗기고 다시 그분의 옷을 입혔다. 그리고 그분을 총독 관저에서 데리고 나와 십자가에 매달려고 끌고 갔다.

십자가에 못 박히시다

21 예수를 끌고 가는 길에 군인들은 시골에서 성으로 들어오는 한 남자를 만났다. 그는 구레네[b] 사람 시몬으로, 알렉산더와 루포의 아버지였다. 군인들은 시몬을 붙잡아 예수의 십자가를 대신 지고 가게 하였다. 22 그들은 예수를 골고다라는 곳으로 끌고 갔다. (골고다는 ‘해골의 골짜기’ 라는 뜻이다.) 23 골고다에서 군인들은 예수께 몰약을 탄 포도주를 먹이려 하였으나, 예수께서 거절하셨다. 24 군인들은 예수를 십자가에 못 박은 다음, 예수의 옷을 나누어 가졌다. 그들은 누가 어떤 옷을 차지할 것인지 주사위를 던져 결정하였다.

25 그들이 예수를 십자가에 못 박은 시각은 아침 아홉 시였다. 26 예수의 죄목을 쓴 팻말에는 ‘유대 사람의 왕’ 이라고 쓰여 있었다. 27 군인들은 예수와 함께 두 명의 강도를 십자가에 못 박았다. 예수의 오른쪽과 왼쪽에 하나씩 그들의 십자가를 세워 놓았다. 28 [c] 29 사람들은 그 옆을 지나가며 예수를 심한 말로 욕하였다. 그들은 머리를 흔들며 말하였다. “어이구! 성전을 부수고 사흘 만에 다시 세우겠다고 말하던 사람 아니야? 30 어디 십자가 위에서 내려와 너 자신이나 구해 보시지!”

31 높은 제사장들과 율법 선생들도 그곳에 있었다. 그들은 다른 사람들과 똑같이 예수를 괴롭혔다. 그들은 서로 이렇게 말하였다. “그가 다른 사람들은 구해 주었는데, 자신은 구할 수 없나 봅니다. 32 그가 진짜로 그리스도이고 이스라엘의 왕이라면, 십자가에서 내려와 자신을 구할 수 있어야 합니다. 그래야 우리가 보고 믿을 것 아닙니까?” 십자가 위에서 죽어 가고 있던 두 강도들도 똑같이 예수를 괴롭히는 말을 하였다.

예수께서 숨을 거두시다

(마 27:45-56; 눅 23:44-49; 요 19:28-30)

33 열두 시쯤에 온 땅에 어둠이 내렸다. 이 어둠은 오후 세 시까지 계속되었다. 34 세 시에 예수께서 큰 소리로 외치셨다. “엘로이, 엘로이, 라마 사박다니!” 이 말은 “나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리셨습니까?”(A) 라는 뜻이다.

35 그곳에 서 있던 사람들이 이 소리를 듣고 말하였다. “들어 보시오! 그가 엘리야를 부르고 있소.”[d]

36 한 사람이 달려가서 갯솜[e]을 신 포도주에 푹 적셔서 가져 왔다. 그리고 그 갯솜을 막대기에 묶어 예수의 입에 대어 마시게 하며 말하였다. “자! 이제 기다려 봅시다. 엘리야가 와서 그를 십자가에서 내려 주는지 구경 한번 해 봅시다.”

37 그때 예수께서 크게 소리를 지르신 뒤에 숨을 거두셨다.

38 예수께서 돌아가실 때에 성전 휘장[f]이 두 쪽으로 찢어졌다. 위에서 시작해서 바닥까지 완전히 찢어졌다. 39 예수 앞에 서 있던 한 백인대장[g]은 예수께서 큰소리를 지르고 숨을 거두시는 것을 보고서 이렇게 말하였다. “이분은 참으로 하나님의 아들이시다!”

40 몇몇 여자들이 십자가에서 조금 떨어진 곳에 서서 지켜보고 있었다. 그 가운데에는 막달라 여자 마리아와, 작은 야고보와 요세의 어머니인 마리아와, 살로메도 있었다. 41 이들은 갈릴리에서 예수를 따르고 돕던 사람들이었다. 이들 말고도 예수를 따라 예루살렘에 올라온 많은 여자들이 그곳에서 지켜보고 있었다.

예수께서 묻히시다

42 이날은 준비일 곧 안식일 전날이었다. 날이 어두워지기 시작할 때에, 43 아리마대 사람 요셉이 용감하게 빌라도에게 가서 예수의 주검을 내달라고 청하였다. 요셉은 존경받는 의회 의원으로, 하나님의 나라를 기다리는 사람이었다. 44 빌라도는 예수가 이미 죽었다는 말을 듣고 놀랐다. 그는 백인대장을 불러서 예수가 벌써 죽었는지 물었다. 45 그는 백인대장에게서 예수가 이미 숨을 거두었다는 말을 듣고서, 아리마대 사람 요셉에게 예수의 주검을 넘겨주었다. 46 요셉은 고운 베를 사 가지고 와서, 예수의 주검을 십자가에서 내려 그 베로 싼 뒤에, 바위를 깎아 만든 무덤에 모셨다. 그리고 큰 돌을 굴려서 무덤 어귀를 막았다. 47 막달라 여자 마리아와 요세의 어머니 마리아는 예수가 묻힌 곳을 보아 두었다.

Pinilit nila itong pasanin ang krus ni Jesus. 22 Dinala nila si Jesus sa lugar na tinatawag na Golgotha, na ibig sabihin ay "Pook ng Bungo." 23 Binigyan nila siya ng alak na hinaluan ng mira, ngunit hindi niya ito tinanggap. 24 At (F) siya'y kanilang ipinako sa krus, pinaghati-hatian ang kanyang mga damit at nagpalabunutan kung kanino ito mapupunta. 25 Ikasiyam ng umaga[a] nang siya'y ipako sa krus. 26 Nakasulat sa taas nito ang sakdal laban sa kanya: “Ang Hari ng mga Judio.” 27 Dalawang tulisan ang kasama niyang ipinako sa krus, isa sa gawing kanan, at isa sa kanyang kaliwa. 28 [At (G) natupad ang sinasabi ng kasulatan: Siya'y ibinilang sa mga salarin.][b] 29 Hinamak (H) siya ng mga nagdaraan, at umiiling na sinasabi, “Ah! Ikaw na gigiba sa templo at magtatayo nito sa loob ng tatlong araw, 30 bumaba ka mula sa krus, at iligtas mo ang iyong sarili!” 31 Kinutya rin siya ng mga punong pari at mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan. Sinabi nila sa isa't isa, “Iniligtas niya ang iba ngunit hindi niya kayang iligtas ang kanyang sarili. 32 Hayaan nating bumaba ngayon mula sa krus ang Cristong Hari ng Israel para makita natin at maniwala tayo sa kanya.” Nilait din siya ng mga kasama niyang nakapako sa krus.

Ang Pagkamatay ni Jesus(I)

33 Nagdilim sa buong lupain mula tanghaling tapat hanggang sa ikatlo ng hapon.[c] 34 (J) Nang ikatlo na ng hapon, sumigaw nang malakas si Jesus, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabacthani?” na ang ibig sabihin ay, “Diyos ko, Diyos ko, bakit mo ako pinabayaan?” 35 Narinig ito ng ilang nakatayo roon at kanilang sinabi, “Pakinggan ninyo, tinatawag niya si Elias.” 36 Tumakbo (K) ang isang naroon at kumuha ng espongha. Binasa niya ito ng maasim na alak, inilagay sa dulo ng isang patpat at inialok kay Jesus. Sabi niya, “Tingnan nga natin kung darating si Elias upang iligtas siya.” 37 Sumigaw nang malakas si Jesus at nalagutan ng hininga. 38 At (L) nahati sa gitna ang tabing ng templo, mula itaas hanggang ibaba. 39 Isang senturyon ang nakatayo malapit sa krus. Nang makita niya kung paano namatay si Jesus, sinabi niya “Tunay na ang taong ito ang Anak ng Diyos.”[d] 40 Naroon (M) din ang ilang kababaihang nagmamasid mula sa malayo. Kabilang sa kanila sina Maria Magdalena, Mariang ina ni Santiago na nakababata at ni Jose, at si Salome. 41 Sila ang mula pa noon sa Galilea ay sumunod na at naglingkod kay Jesus. Naroon din ang iba pang mga kababaihan na kasama niyang pumunta sa Jerusalem.

Ang Paglilibing kay Jesus(N)

42 Dumidilim na noon, araw noon ng Paghahanda, ang araw bago ang Sabbath, 43 naglakas-loob si Jose na taga-Arimatea na pumunta kay Pilato upang hingin ang bangkay ni Jesus. Siya ay isang iginagalang na kagawad at naghihintay rin ng paghahari ng Diyos. 44 Nabigla si Pilato nang marinig na patay na si Jesus. Ipinatawag niya ang senturyon at itinanong kung patay na nga siya. 45 Nang matiyak niya mula sa senturyon na patay na nga si Jesus, pumayag siyang kunin ni Jose ang bangkay. 46 Bumili si Jose[e] ng telang lino at pagkababa sa bangkay ni Jesus, binalot niya ito ng nasabing tela at inilagay sa isang libingang inuka sa bato. Pagkatapos, iginulong ni Jose ang isang malaking bato sa pintuan ng libingan. 47 Nakita ni Maria Magdalena at ni Mariang ina ni Jose kung saan inilibing si Jesus.
