基督的先驱
1 神的儿子耶稣基督福音的开始[a]。 2 正如先知以赛亚[b]书上所记载的：
4 于是约翰就来了。他在旷野施洗[g]，并宣讲为罪得赦免而悔改的洗礼。 5 全犹太地区和整个耶路撒冷的人，都出来到他那里，承认自己的罪孽，在约旦河里受他的洗礼[h]。 6 约翰穿的是骆驼毛的衣服[i]，腰束皮带，吃的是蝗虫和野蜜。 7 他宣讲，说：“在我之后，有一位比我更强有力的要来。我就是弯腰为他解鞋带也不配。 8 我用水[j]给你们施洗，但他要用圣灵给你们施洗。”
耶稣受洗
9 在那些日子里，耶稣从加利利的拿撒勒来，在约旦河里受约翰的洗礼[k]。 10 耶稣一从水里上来，就看见诸天裂开了，圣灵好像鸽子降临在他身上。 11 这时候，有声音从诸天传来，说：
“你是我的爱子，
我喜悦你。”
耶稣受试探
12 圣灵立刻催促耶稣到旷野里去。 13 他在旷野里四十天，受撒旦的试探。他与野兽在一起，并有天使们伺候他。
在加利利的服事
14 约翰被逮捕以后，耶稣来到加利利，传神的[l]福音， 15 说：“日期满了，神的国近了！你们应当悔改，相信福音！”
第一批门徒
16 耶稣从加利利湖边[m]经过[n]，看见西门和他弟弟[o]安得烈，正在湖里撒网；他们本来是渔夫。
17 耶稣就对他们说：“来跟从我！我将要使你们成为得人的渔夫。” 18 他们立刻舍弃渔网，跟从了耶稣。 19 稍往前走，耶稣看见西庇太的儿子雅各和他弟弟约翰。他们正在船上修补渔网。 20 耶稣随即召唤他们。他们就离开了在船上的父亲西庇太和雇工们，并且跟着耶稣去了。
驱赶污灵
21 他们来到迦百农。安息日一到，耶稣就进了会堂教导人。 22 众人对耶稣的教导都惊叹不已，因为他教导他们，就像有权柄的人，不像经文士们。
23 忽然[p]，在他们的会堂里，有一个被污灵附身的人喊叫， 24 说：“[q]拿撒勒人耶稣，我们与你有什么关系？你来毁灭我们吗？我知道你是谁，你是神的那位圣者。”
25 耶稣斥责污灵说：“住口！从这个人里面出来！” 26 污灵使那个人抽疯，然后大声喊叫着从他里面出来了。
27 结果大家都惊讶不已，彼此谈论说：“这是怎么回事？！一个带有权柄的新的教导！他命令污灵[r]，污灵就都听从他！” 28 于是耶稣的消息很快地传遍了加利利周围所有的地区。
在迦百农治病
29 他们从会堂出来，随即到西门和安得烈的家去，雅各和约翰也一起去。 30 西门的岳母正发烧躺着，他们立刻把她的事告诉耶稣。 31 耶稣上前去，握着她的手，扶她起来，烧就[s]退了。于是她就服事他们。
32 到了傍晚，日落的时候，人们带着所有患病的、有鬼魔附身的，到耶稣那里去。 33 全城的人都聚集在门前。 34 耶稣就使许多患有各种疾病的人痊愈，又驱赶了很多鬼魔。他不准鬼魔说话，因为那些鬼魔知道他是谁。
在加利利传道
35 大清早，天还没亮，耶稣就起来，走出去，到一个荒僻的地方，在那里祷告。 36 西门和那些与他在一起的人去寻找耶稣， 37 找到了，就对他说：“大家都在找你呢！”
38 耶稣对他们说：“我们往别的地方去，[t]到邻近的乡村去吧。我也好在那里传道，因为我是为此而来的。” 39 于是耶稣在全加利利往来[u]，在他们的会堂里传道，并且驱赶鬼魔。
洁净麻风病人
40 有一个麻风病人来到耶稣面前，跪下来[v]恳求他说：“如果你愿意，你就能洁净我。”
41 耶稣动了怜悯之心，就伸出手来摸他，说：“我愿意，你洁净了吧！” 42 麻风病立刻离开他，他就被洁净了。 43 耶稣当下催他离开，并严厉地告诫他， 44 说：“你要注意，对任何人都不要说什么，只要去把自己给祭司看，并且为了你的洁净，献上摩西所吩咐的祭物，好对他们做见证。” 45 但那个人一出去，就开始大加宣扬，把这件事传开了，结果耶稣不能再公开进城，只好留在外面荒僻的地方。可是人们还是从各处来到他那里。

ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਆਗਮਨ(A)
1 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਆਰੰਭ: 2 ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਨਬੀ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ:
“ਸੁਣੋ! ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ।
ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਰਸਤਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ।” (B)
3 “ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ:
‘ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲਈ ਰਸਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ,
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਧੇ ਕਰੋ।’” (C)
4 ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਆਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਣ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਦਲ ਲਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਣਗੇ। 5 ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
6 ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਊਠ ਦੇ ਵਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਕਮਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਮੜੇ ਦੀ ਪੇਟੀ ਬੰਧੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਟਿੱਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
7 ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਭਈ: “ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਾਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਨਿਉਂ ਕੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਦਾ ਤਸਮਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਾਂ। 8 ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।”

9 ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲ ਦੇ ਨਾਸਰਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। 10 ਜਿਸ ਵਕਤ ਯਿਸੂ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਘੁੱਗੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਥੱਲੇ ਉੱਤਰਿਆ। 11 ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਣੀ ਹੋਈ, “ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਾਂ।”
ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ(E)
12 ਤਦ ਆਤਮਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕਲਿਆਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। 13 ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਦੂਤ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

14 ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, 15 “ਹੁਣ ਠੀਕ ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਦਲ ਲਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਤਬਾਰ ਕਰੋ।”

16 ਗਲੀਲੀ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮਛੇਰੇ ਸਨ, ਝੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਲ ਪਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ। 17 ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਆਓ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲੋ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਨਾਵਾਂਗਾ।” 18 ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਹੋ ਤੁਰੇ।
19 ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਥੋੜਾ ਹੋਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ, ਜ਼ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ, ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੜ ਸੱਕਣ। 20 ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੋ ਤੁਰੇ।
ਯਿਸੂ ਇੱਕ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਦਾ(H)
21 ਯਿਸੂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ। ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣ ਲੱਗੇ। 22 ਲੋਕ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਨਾ ਕਿ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ। 23 ਜਦੋਂ ਅਜੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸੀ, ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਚਿੰਬੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਕਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ, 24 “ਓ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਸਰੀ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ? ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ ਹੈਂ।”
25 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਰੋਅਬ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰ! ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਜਾ!” 26 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਬਣੀ ਛੇੜੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਚੀਕਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਇਆ।
27 ਲੋਕ ਇਹ ਵੇਖਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਇਥੇ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਨਵੀਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਤਾਂ ਬੜੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਵੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੰਨ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।” 28 ਇਉਂ ਗਲੀਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖੇਤ੍ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਬੜੀ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਫ਼ੈਲੀ ਗਈ।

29 ਯਿਸੂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਆਏ। 30 ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਦੀ ਸੱਸ ਮੰਜੇ ਤੇ ਪਈ ਤਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਤੱਪ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਉੱਥੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦਸਿਆ। 31 ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੰਜੇ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੜਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
32 ਉਸ ਰਾਤ, ਜਦੋਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਡੁੱਬ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੂਤ ਚਿੰਬੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਏ। 33 ਸਾਰਾ ਨਗਰ ਉਸ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਬੂਹੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। 34 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭੂਤ ਕੱਢੇ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਸਨ।

35 ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ, ਯਿਸੂ ਬੜੀ ਸਵਖਤੇ ਉੱਠਿਆ। ਅਜੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਘਰੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਪਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕਾਂਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। 36 ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਗਏ। 37 ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਭਾਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।”
38 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਛੱਡੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਈਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।” 39 ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਯਿਸੂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਪੂਰੀ ਗਲੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭੂਤ ਕੱਢੇ।

40 ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋੜ੍ਹ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜੋਈ ਕੀਤੀ, “ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਚਾਹੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।”
41 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਂ ਸੋ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਹੋ ਜਾ।” 42 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਕੋੜ੍ਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
43 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਸਖਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਤਗੀਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ, 44 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਦੱਸੀਂ। ਪਰ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰ। ਤੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਭੇਟਾ ਅਰਪਨ ਕਰੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈਂ।” 45 ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਕੇ ਇਹ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਉਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਖਬਰ ਸਭ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਿਸੂ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ-ਆਮ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਵੜ ਸੱਕਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕਾਂਤ ਜਗ੍ਹਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ।

修直祂的路。’”
4 果然，约翰出现了，他在旷野劝人悔改，接受洗礼，使罪得到赦免。 5 犹太全境和耶路撒冷的居民都到约翰面前承认他们的罪，在约旦河里接受他的洗礼。

16 耶稣沿着加利利湖边走，看见两个渔夫——西门和他的弟弟安得烈正在湖上撒网捕鱼。 17 耶稣对他们说：“来跟从我！我要使你们成为得人的渔夫。” 18 他们立刻抛下渔网，跟从了耶稣。
19 耶稣往前走了不远，又看见西庇太的两个儿子雅各和约翰正在船上补网， 20 便立刻呼召他们。他们就辞别父亲和船上的工人，跟从了耶稣。
传道赶鬼
21 他们到了迦百农，耶稣在安息日去会堂里讲道。 22 那里的人都很吃惊，因为祂教导他们时像个有权柄的人，不像律法教师。 23 当时会堂里有一个被污鬼附身的人喊道： 24 “拿撒勒的耶稣啊，我们和你有什么关系？你是来毁灭我们吗？我知道你是谁，你是上帝的圣者！”
25 耶稣责备它说：“住口，从他身上出来！”
26 污鬼使那人抽搐了一阵，大叫一声，就出来了。 27 在场的人十分惊讶，彼此议论说：“这是怎么回事？真是充满权柄的新教导啊！竟然连污鬼都服从祂的命令。” 28 于是，耶稣的名声立刻传遍了整个加利利。

治好麻风病人
40 有一次，一个患麻风病的人来到耶稣面前，跪下央求：“只要你肯，一定能使我洁净。”
41 耶稣动了慈心，就伸手摸他，说：“我肯，你洁净了吧！” 42 那人的麻风病立即消失了，他就洁净了。 43 耶稣让他回去并郑重地叮嘱： 44 “不要把这事告诉别人，要去让祭司察看你的身体，并照摩西的规定献祭，向众人证明你已经洁净了。”
45 但那人离开之后，却到处传扬这件事，以致耶稣无法再公开进城。祂只能待在城外的旷野，可是人们仍从各处来找祂。

John the Baptist Prepares the Way(A)
1 The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah,[a] the Son of God,[b](B) 2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet:
“I will send my messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way”[c](C)—
3 “a voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.’”[d](D)
4 And so John the Baptist(E) appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance(F) for the forgiveness of sins.(G) 5 The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. 6 John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist,(H) and he ate locusts(I) and wild honey. 7 And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.(J) 8 I baptize you with[e] water, but he will baptize you with[f] the Holy Spirit.”(K)
The Baptism and Testing of Jesus(L)(M)
9 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth(N) in Galilee and was baptized by John(O) in the Jordan. 10 Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.(P) 11 And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son,(Q) whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”(R)
12 At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, 13 and he was in the wilderness forty days,(S) being tempted[g] by Satan.(T) He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.
Jesus Announces the Good News(U)
14 After John(V) was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee,(W) proclaiming the good news of God.(X) 15 “The time has come,”(Y) he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe(Z) the good news!”(AA)
Jesus Calls His First Disciples
16 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 18 At once they left their nets and followed him.(AB)
19 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. 20 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
Jesus Drives Out an Impure Spirit(AC)
21 They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.(AD) 22 The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.(AE) 23 Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an impure spirit cried out, 24 “What do you want with us,(AF) Jesus of Nazareth?(AG) Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”(AH)
25 “Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!”(AI) 26 The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.(AJ)
27 The people were all so amazed(AK) that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching—and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him.” 28 News about him spread quickly over the whole region(AL) of Galilee.
Jesus Heals Many(AM)(AN)
29 As soon as they left the synagogue,(AO) they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew. 30 Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. 31 So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up.(AP) The fever left her and she began to wait on them.
32 That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all the sick and demon-possessed.(AQ) 33 The whole town gathered at the door, 34 and Jesus healed many who had various diseases.(AR) He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speak because they knew who he was.(AS)
Jesus Prays in a Solitary Place(AT)
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.(AU) 36 Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37 and when they found him, they exclaimed: “Everyone is looking for you!”
38 Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.”(AV) 39 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues(AW) and driving out demons.(AX)
Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy(AY)
40 A man with leprosy[h] came to him and begged him on his knees,(AZ) “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”
41 Jesus was indignant.[i] He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.
43 Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: 44 “See that you don’t tell this to anyone.(BA) But go, show yourself to the priest(BB) and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing,(BC) as a testimony to them.” 45 Instead he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places.(BD) Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.(BE)

1 This is the beginning of the good news about Jesus Christ, God's Son.
2 The men of God, called prophets, long ago wrote about it this way: God said, `See, I send my man ahead of you to tell about you. He will make the way ready for you.
3 A man is calling out in the desert, "Make the way ready for the Lord. Make the road straight for him." '
4 John baptised people in the desert. He told them to stop doing wrong things and be baptised, and God would forgive them for the wrong things they did.
5 People from all the land of Judea and all the city of Jerusalem went out to John. He baptised them in the Jordan River when they told about the wrong things they did.
6 John wore clothes made of camel's hair and a leather belt. He ate locusts and wild honey.
7 He told the people, `Another person is coming. He is greater than I am. I am not good enough to bend down and untie his shoe strings.
8 I have baptised you with water, but he will baptise you with the Holy Spirit.'

13 Jesus was in the desert for forty days. All that time Satan tried to make Jesus do wrong. Jesus was with wild animals. Angels came and took care of him.
14 John was put in prison. Then Jesus went to Galilee. He told people the good news of God's kingdom.
15 `The time has come,' he said. `The kingdom of God is here. Stop your wrong ways, turn back to God and believe the good news.'
16 Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee. There he saw Simon and his brother Andrew. They were throwing a fishing net into the water. Their work was to catch fish.
17 Jesus said to them, `Come with me. The work I give you will be to catch people.'
18 Right away they left their nets and went with him.
19 Jesus went on from there and saw James and his brother John. Their father's name was Zebedee. They were in a boat mending their nets.
20 Jesus called them. Right away they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the workmen and went with Jesus.
21 They went to the town of Capernaum. As soon as it was the Sabbath day, Jesus went into their meeting house and taught the people.
22 They were very much surprised at his teaching because he taught them as if he had the right to teach them. He did not teach them like their teachers called scribes.
23 A man who had a bad spirit in him was in the meeting house at that time.
24 He called out, `Jesus of Nazareth, what do you want to do to us? Have you come to kill us? I know who you are. You are the Holy One of God.'
25 Jesus said to the spirit, `Be quiet! Come out of him!'
26 The bad spirit threw the man around. It called out loud and then it came out of the man.
27 The people were all surprised. They said one to another, `What is this? Is not this a new teaching? He tells the bad spirits what to do and even they obey him'
28 The people all around Galilee heard right away about Jesus.
29 As soon as they came out of the meeting house, they went to the home of Simon and Andrew. James and John went also.
30 Simon's wife's mother was sick and was lying down. She had a fever. Right away they told Jesus about her.
31 Jesus went to her. He took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her right away, and she began to do things to help them.
32 That evening when the sun went down, people brought to Jesus all the sick people and those who had bad spirits.
33 All the people in the city crowded around the door.
34 He healed many sick people. He drove the bad spirits out of people. And he did not let them speak because they knew who he was.
35 The next morning Jesus got up long before daylight. He went out to a place by himself. There he talked with God.
36 Simon and his friends went out after Jesus.
37 When they found him they said, `Everyone is looking for you.'
38 Jesus said, `We must go to the next towns. I must tell the good news to the people there too. That is why I came here.'
39 Then Jesus talked to the people in all the meeting houses in all the country of Galilee. He also made the bad spirits come out of people.
40 A man who was sick with leprosy [a bad skin disease] came to him. He kneeled down and begged Jesus saying, `I know you can heal me if you want to.'
41 Jesus was very sorry for him. He put out his hand and touched him. He said, `I want to. Be healed.'
42 As soon as he said this, the disease left the man and he was healed.
43 Jesus talked strongly to him and sent him away.
44 He said, `Do not tell anyone about this. But go and let the priest look at you. Moses gave a law about the gift you must give to God when you are healed. Give it to prove to people that you are healed.'
45 But the man went out and told everyone everywhere what had happened to him. Because he did this, Jesus could not go into any large town freely. He stayed in places where only a few people were. There people came to him from everywhere.
