3 (A)Ето, Аз пращам Ангела Си, и той ще приготви пътя пред Мене, и внезапно ще дойде в храма Си Господ, Когото вие търсите, и Ангелът на завета, Когото вие желаете; ето, Той иде, казва Господ Саваот.
2 И кой ще издържи деня на дохождането Му, и кой ще устои, кога се Той яви? Защото Той е като огън, който разтопява, и като луга, която очистя;
3 (B)и ще седне да претопява и чисти сребро, ще очисти синовете на Левия и ще ги претопи като злато и като сребро, за да принасят жертва Господу с правда.
4 Тогава ще бъде благоприятна Господу жертвата на Иуда и Иерусалим, както в стародавни дни и както в предишни години.
5 И ще дойда при вас за съд и ще бъда бърз изобличител на магьосници и прелюбодеи, и на ония, които се кълнат лъжливо и задържат заплатата на наемника, притесняват вдовица и сираче и отблъсват пришълец, и от Мене се не боят, казва Господ Саваот.
6 (C)Защото Аз съм Господ, Аз се не изменям; затова вие, синове Иаковови, не бидохте унищожени.
7 (D)От дните на бащите си отстъпихте от наредбите Ми и не ги спазвате; обърнете се към Мене, и Аз ще се обърна към вас, казва Господ Саваот. Вие ще кажете: как да се обърнем?
8 Може ли човек да обира Бога? А вие Ме обирате. Ще кажете: с какво Те обираме? – С десятъка и приносите.
9 С проклятие сте проклети, защото вие – целият народ – Ме обирате.
10 (E)Донесете всички десятъци във влагалището, та да има храна в Моя дом, и поне в това Ме изпитайте, казва Господ Саваот: няма ли да отворя за вас отворите небесни и няма ли да излея върху ви благословение до излишък?
11 Зарад вас ще забраня на ония, които поглъщат, да изтребват у вас земните плодове, и лозата на полето у вас няма да се лиши от плодовете си, казва Господ Саваот.
12 (F)И блажени ще ви наричат всички народи, защото ще бъдете земя желана, казва Господ Саваот.
13 (G)Дръзки пред Мене са думите ви, казва Господ. Ще кажете: какво говорим против Тебе?
14 (H)Казвате: напразно е служенето Богу, и каква полза, че пазехме наредбите Му и ходехме в печална дреха пред лицето на Господа Саваота?
15 (I)И сега ние считаме надменните щастливи: по-добре се нареждат ония, които вършат беззакония, и, ако и да изкушават Бога, остават цели.
16 (J)Но ония, които се боят от Бога, казват един другиму: внимава Господ и чува това, и пред лицето Му се пише паметна книга за ония, които се боят от Бога и почитат името Му.
17 (K)И те ще бъдат Мои, казва Господ Саваот, Моя собственост в оня ден, който ще приготвя, и ще ги милувам, както милува човек сина си, който му служи.
18 (L)И тогава отново ще видите разликата между праведник и нечестивец, между оня, който служи Богу, и оня, който Му не служи.

3 萬軍之耶和華說：「我要差遣我的使者為我開路。你們所尋求的主必突然來到祂的殿中。你們所期盼的那位立約的使者快要來了！」 2 然而，祂來臨的日子，誰能承受得了呢？祂出現的時候，誰能站立得住呢？因為祂像煉金之火，又像漂白衣裳的鹼。 3 祂要坐下來，像煉淨銀子的人那樣潔淨利未的子孫，像熬煉金銀一樣熬煉他們，使他們憑公義向耶和華獻祭。 4 這樣，猶大和耶路撒冷所獻的祭物就會蒙耶和華悅納，如同以往的日子、從前的歲月。
5 萬軍之耶和華說：「我要來到你們當中施行審判，速速作證指控那些行邪術的、通姦的、起假誓的、克扣工人薪水的、欺壓寡婦孤兒的、冤枉異鄉人的，以及不敬畏我的。
十分之一奉獻
6 「我耶和華永恆不變，所以你們這些雅各的子孫才沒有滅絕。」 7 萬軍之耶和華說：「從你們祖先開始，你們就常常偏離我的律例，不肯遵從。現在你們要轉向我，我就轉向你們。可是你們竟然說，『我們怎麼轉向你呢？』 8 人怎可搶奪上帝的東西呢？可是你們不但搶奪我的東西，還說，『我們在何事上搶過你的東西呢？』
「你們在十分之一的奉獻和其他供物上搶奪我的東西。 9 舉國上下都是如此，所以你們必受咒詛。」 10 萬軍之耶和華說：「你們要把當納的十分之一全部送到我的倉庫，使我的殿中有糧。你們這樣試試，看我會不會為你們打開天上的窗戶，把祝福傾倒給你們，直到無處可容。」 11 萬軍之耶和華說：「我必為你們驅除害蟲，不許牠們毀壞你們地裡的出產，你們田間的葡萄必不會未熟先落。」 12 萬軍之耶和華說：「萬國必稱你們為有福的，因為這地方必成為一片樂土。」
13 耶和華說：「你們出言譭謗我，還問，『我們怎麼譭謗你了？』 14 你們說，『事奉上帝是虛空的。遵從上帝的吩咐，在萬軍之耶和華面前痛悔有什麼益處？ 15 如今我們稱狂傲的人有福，因為作惡的人凡事順利，他們雖然試探上帝，卻仍能逃過災禍。』」
16 那時，敬畏耶和華的彼此交談，耶和華必留心傾聽，祂面前的紀念冊上記錄著敬畏祂和尊崇祂名的人。 17 萬軍之耶和華說：「到我所定的日子，他們必成為我寶貴的產業，我要憐憫他們，如同父親憐憫他的孝順兒子。 18 那時，你們將再度看出義人與惡人之間的區別，事奉上帝者和不事奉上帝者之間的不同。

2 Но кой може да издържи деня на пришествието Му? И кой ще устои, когато Той се яви? Защото е като огъня на пречиствач, И като сапуна на тепавичари.
3 Ще седне като един, който топи и пречиства сребро, Та ще очисти левийците, И ще ги претопи като златото и среброто; И те ще принасят Господу приноси с правда.
4 Тогава приносът на Юда и на Ерусалим Ще бъде угоден Господу, Както в древните дни, Както в старите години.
5 И Аз, като се приближа при вас за съдба, Бързо ще заявя против баячите, Против прелюбодейците, против кълнящите се лъжливо, Против ония, които угнетяват наемниците в заплатата им, вдовицата и сирачето, И <против> ония, които онеправдават чужденеца, И не се боят от Мене, Казва Господ на Силите.
6 Защото, понеже Аз Господ не се изменявам, Затова вие, Яковови чада, не загинахте.
7 От дните на бащите си Вие се отклонихте от наредбите Ми, и не ги опазихте. Върнете се при Мене, и Аз ще се върна при вас, Казва Господ на Силите. Но вие думате: В какво да се върнем?
8 Ще краде ли човек Бога? Вие обаче, Ме крадете. Обаче думате: В какво Те крадем? В десетъците и в приносите.
9 Вие сте наистина проклети, Защото вие, да! целият тоя народ, Ме крадете.
10 Донесете всичките десетъци във влагалището, За да има храна в дома Ми, И опитайте Ме сега за това, Казва Господ на Силите, Дали не ще ви разкрия небесните отвори Да излея благословение върху вас, Тъй щото да не стига място <за него>.
11 И заради вас ще смъмря поглъщателя, Та няма вече да поврежда рожбите на земята ви; И лозата ви на полето няма да хвърля плода си преждевременно, Казва Господ на Силите.
12 Всичките народи ще ви облажават, Защото ще бъдете желателна земя, Казва Господ на Силите.
13 Вашите думи са били безочливи против Мене казва Господ; А вие казвате: Що сме говорили против Тебе?
14 Вие рекохте: Напразно служим Богу; И каква полза, че сме пазили заръчаното от Него, И че сме ходили с жалеене пред Господа на Силите?
15 И сега ние облажаваме горделивите. Да! ония, които вършат беззаконие, успяват; Даже изкушават Бога, и се избавят.
16 Тогава боящите се от Господа говореха един на друг; И Господ внимаваше и слушаше; И написа се възпоменателна книга пред Него За ония, които се бояха от Господа, И които мислеха за името Му.

3 “I will send my messenger,(A) who will prepare the way before me.(B) Then suddenly the Lord(C) you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant,(D) whom you desire,(E) will come,” says the Lord Almighty.
2 But who can endure(F) the day of his coming?(G) Who can stand(H) when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire(I) or a launderer’s soap.(J) 3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver;(K) he will purify(L) the Levites and refine them like gold and silver.(M) Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness,(N) 4 and the offerings(O) of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.(P)
5 “So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers,(Q) adulterers(R) and perjurers,(S) against those who defraud laborers of their wages,(T) who oppress the widows(U) and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners(V) among you of justice, but do not fear(W) me,” says the Lord Almighty.
Breaking Covenant by Withholding Tithes
6 “I the Lord do not change.(X) So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.(Y) 7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away(Z) from my decrees and have not kept them. Return(AA) to me, and I will return to you,”(AB) says the Lord Almighty.
“But you ask,(AC) ‘How are we to return?’
8 “Will a mere mortal rob(AD) God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes(AE) and offerings. 9 You are under a curse(AF)—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe(AG) into the storehouse,(AH) that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates(AI) of heaven and pour out(AJ) so much blessing(AK) that there will not be room enough to store it.(AL) 11 I will prevent pests from devouring(AM) your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,(AN)” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed,(AO) for yours will be a delightful land,”(AP) says the Lord Almighty.(AQ)
Israel Speaks Arrogantly Against God
13 “You have spoken arrogantly(AR) against me,” says the Lord.
“Yet you ask,(AS) ‘What have we said against you?’
14 “You have said, ‘It is futile(AT) to serve(AU) God. What do we gain by carrying out his requirements(AV) and going about like mourners(AW) before the Lord Almighty? 15 But now we call the arrogant(AX) blessed. Certainly evildoers(AY) prosper,(AZ) and even when they put God to the test, they get away with it.’”
The Faithful Remnant
16 Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard.(BA) A scroll(BB) of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared(BC) the Lord and honored his name.
17 “On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my(BD) treasured possession.(BE) I will spare(BF) them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son(BG) who serves him. 18 And you will again see the distinction between the righteous(BH) and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.(BI)

3 “(A)Behold, I am going to send (B)My [a]messenger, and he will [b](C)prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; [c]and the [d](D)messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says Yahweh of hosts. 2 “But who can (E)endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a (F)smelter’s fire and like [e]fullers’ soap. 3 And He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will (G)purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may (H)present to Yahweh [f]offerings in righteousness. 4 Then the [g]offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be (I)pleasing to Yahweh as in the (J)ancient days and as in former years.
5 “Then I will draw near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the (K)sorcerers and against the (L)adulterers and against those who (M)swear falsely and against those who oppress the (N)wage earner in his wages, the (O)widow and the [h]orphan, and those who turn aside the (P)sojourner and do not [i]fear Me,” says Yahweh of hosts. 6 “For [j]I, Yahweh, (Q)do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, [k]are not consumed.
You Have Robbed God
7 “From the (R)days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. (S)Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says Yahweh of hosts. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’
8 “Will a man [l]rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In (T)tithes and [m]contributions. 9 You are (U)cursed with a curse, for you are [n]robbing Me, the whole nation of you! 10 (V)Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be [o]food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says Yahweh of hosts, “if I will not (W)open for you the windows of heaven and (X)empty out for you a blessing until [p](Y)it is beyond enough. 11 Then I will rebuke the (Z)devourer for you so that it will not corrupt the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field [q]fail to bear,” says Yahweh of hosts. 12 “(AA)So all the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a (AB)delightful land,” says Yahweh of hosts.
Arrogant Words
13 “Your words have been strong against Me,” says Yahweh. “But you say, ‘What have we spoken against You?’ 14 You have said, ‘It is (AC)worthless to serve God; and what (AD)gain is it that we have kept His charge and that we have walked in mourning before Yahweh of hosts? 15 So now we (AE)call the arrogant blessed; not only are the doers of wickedness built up, but they also test God and (AF)escape.’”
The Book of Remembrance
16 Then those who [r]feared Yahweh spoke to one another, and Yahweh (AG)gave heed and heard it, and a (AH)book of remembrance was written before Him for those who [s]fear Yahweh and who think upon His name. 17 “And they will be (AI)Mine,” says Yahweh of hosts, “on the (AJ)day that I [t]prepare My [u](AK)own treasured possession, and I will [v]spare them as a man [w](AL)spares his own son who serves him.” 18 So you will return and (AM)see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.
