47 (A)Слово Господне, което биде към пророк Иеремия, за филистимци, преди фараонът да съсипе Газа.
2 (B)Тъй казва Господ: ето, подигат се от север води, ще се обърнат на буен поток и ще потопят земята и всичко, що я изпълня, града и живеещите в него; тогава ще викнат людете и ще заридаят всички обитатели на страната.
3 (C)От шумния тропот на копитата на силните му коне и от тропота на колесниците му, от тътнежа на колелата му бащите не ще обърнат поглед към децата си, защото ръцете им ще отпаднат
4 (D)от оня ден, който ще дойде да изтреби всички филистимци, да отнеме от Тир и Сидон всички останали техни помощници, защото Господ ще разори филистимци, остатък от остров Кафтор.
5 Оплешивя Газа, гине Аскалон, остатък от долината им.
6 Докога ще сечеш, о, мечо Господен! кога ще се успокоиш? върни се в ножницата си, престани и почини си.
7 Но как да си починеш, когато Господ даде заповед против Аскалон и против морския бряг? Натам го Той насочи.

47 Господното слово, което дойде към пророк Еремия за филистимците, преди да е разорил Фараон Газа.
2 Така казва Господ: Ето, води прииждат от север, И, като станат поток наводняващ, Ще потопят земята и всичко, що има в нея, Града и ония, които живеят в него; Тогава човеците ще викнат, И всичките земни жители ще излелекат.
3 От тропота на копитата на яките му коне, От спускането на колесниците му, От гърма на колелата му, Бащите не ще се обърнат да гледат децата си; Понеже ръцете им са ослабнали
4 Поради денят, който иде, За да разруши всичките филистимци, Да отсече от Тир и Сидон И най-последния помощник; Защото Господ ще разруши филистимците, Останалите от остров Кафтор.
5 Плешивост постигна Газа; Аскалон загина с останалите от полето им. До кога ще правиш нарязвания на снагата си?
6 О, мечо Господен, До кога не ще си починеш? Върни се в ножницата, Успокой се и почини си.
7 Обаче как да си починеш, Тъй като Господ ти е дал заръка Против Аскалон и против крайморието? Там го е определил.

47 The Words of the LORD which came to Jeremiah the Prophet against the Philistines, before Pharaoh struck Gaza.
2 Thus says the LORD: “Behold, waters rise up out of the North, and shall be as a swelling torrent, and shall overflow the land and all that is in it, and the cities, with those who dwell in them. Then the men shall cry and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl
3 “at the noise and stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the noise of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels. The fathers shall not look back to their children, being limp-wristed
4 “because of the day that comes to destroy all the Philistines, to destroy Tyre and Sidon, and all the rest who take part. For the LORD will destroy the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphtor.
5 “Baldness has come upon Gaza. Ashkelon is cut up with the rest of their valleys. How long will you cut yourself?
6 “O, you sword of the LORD! How long will it be before you cease! Turn back into your scabbard! Rest and be still.
7 “How can it cease, seeing the LORD has given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea bank? There He has appointed it.”

A Message About the Philistines
47 This is the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the Philistines(A) before Pharaoh attacked Gaza:(B)
2 This is what the Lord says:
“See how the waters are rising in the north;(C)
they will become an overflowing torrent.
They will overflow the land and everything in it,
the towns and those who live in them.
The people will cry out;
all who dwell in the land will wail(D)
3 at the sound of the hooves of galloping steeds,
at the noise of enemy chariots(E)
and the rumble of their wheels.
Parents will not turn to help their children;
their hands will hang limp.(F)
4 For the day has come
to destroy all the Philistines
and to remove all survivors
who could help Tyre(G) and Sidon.(H)
The Lord is about to destroy the Philistines,(I)
the remnant from the coasts of Caphtor.[a](J)
5 Gaza will shave(K) her head in mourning;
Ashkelon(L) will be silenced.
You remnant on the plain,
how long will you cut(M) yourselves?

2 Thus saith the Lord; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
3 At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;
4 Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the Lord will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.
5 Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?
6 O thou sword of the Lord, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.
7 How can it be quiet, seeing the Lord hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it.
