²⁷^(A)Защото тъй рече Господ: цялата земя ще бъде опустошена, ала пълно изтребление няма да направя.

²⁸^(B)Ще заплаче земята поради това, и небесата ще се помрачат горе, защото Аз казах, Аз реших, и не ще се разкая за това, нито ще отстъпя от него.

²⁹^(C)От шума на конници и на стрелци ще се разбягат всички градове: те ще отидат в гъсти лесове и ще се възкачат по скали; всички градове ще бъдат напуснати, и в тях не ще има ни един жител.

Jeremiah 4:27-29

New International Version

²⁷This is what the Lord says:

“The whole land will be ruined,^(A)
    though I will not destroy^(B) it completely.
²⁸Therefore the earth will mourn^(C)
    and the heavens above grow dark,^(D)
because I have spoken and will not relent,^(E)
    I have decided and will not turn back.^(F)”

²⁹At the sound of horsemen and archers^(G)
    every town takes to flight.^(H)
Some go into the thickets;
    some climb up among the rocks.^(I)
All the towns are deserted;^(J)
    no one lives in them.

²⁷For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

²⁸For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

²⁹The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.
