36 (A)И ти, сине човешки, изречи пророчество за планините Израилеви и кажи: планини Израилеви, чуйте словото Господне.
2 (B)Тъй казва Господ Бог: понеже врагът казва за вас: „охохо! охохо! и вечните оброчища се паднаха нам за дял“,
3 то изречи пророчество и кажи: тъй казва Господ Бог: тъкмо задето ви опустошават и ви поглъщат от вси страни, за да станете притежание на другите народи и да се изложите на людски укори и глуми, –
4 затова, планини Израилеви, изслушайте словото на Господа Бога: тъй казва Господ Бог на планини и на хълмове, на долища и долини, и на опустели развалини и напуснати градове, които станаха плячка и гавра за другите околни народи;
5 затова тъй казва Господ Бог: в разпалената Си ревност изрекох слово против другите народи и против цяла Идумея, които си отредиха земята Ми за владение, като я обричаха себе за плячка със сърдечна радост и с презрение в душа.
6 (C)Затова изречи пророчество за земята Израилева и кажи на планини и хълмове, на долища и долини: тъй казва Господ Бог: ето, Аз изрекох това в ревността Си и в яростта Си, защото вие носите на себе присмеха от народите.
7 Затова тъй казва Господ Бог: Аз подигнах ръката Си с клетва, че народите, които са около вас, сами ще понесат своя срам.
8 (D)А вие, планини Израилеви, ще развиете клоните си и ще принасяте плодовете си на Моя народ Израиля, защото те скоро ще дойдат.
9 (E)Защото ето, към вас ще се обърна, и вие ще бъдете обработвани и засявани.
10 И ще заселя у вас много люде, целия дом Израилев, целия, и градовете ще бъдат заселени, и развалините – застроени.
11 (F)Ще умножа у вас люде и добитък, и те ще се плодят и размножават, ще ви населя, както беше в предишните ваши времена, ще ви правя добро повече, отколкото в предишните ваши времена, – и ще познаете, че Аз съм Господ.
12 Ще доведа у вас люде, Моя народ Израиля, и те ще те владеят, земьо! Ти ще бъдеш тяхно наследие и вече не ще ги оставяш бездетни.
13 (G)Тъй казва Господ Бог: задето казват за вас: „ти си земя, която пояждаш людете и която правиш народа си бездетен“, –
14 затова вече не ще пояждаш людете и занапред не ще правиш народа си бездетен, казва Господ Бог.
15 (H)И вече не ще слушаш присмех от народите, и вече не ще понесеш върху себе си хули от племената, и занапред не ще правиш народа си бездетен, казва Господ Бог.
16 И биде към мене слово Господне:
17 (I)сине човешки! когато домът Израилев живееше в земята си, той я сквернеше с поведението си и с делата си; пътят им беше пред Моето лице като нечистота на жена, кога се очистя.
18 И Аз излях върху тях гнева Си за кръвта, която те проливаха в тая земя, и задето те я скверняха със своите идоли.
19 (J)И Аз ги разпилях между народите, и те са развеяни по земите; Аз ги съдих според техните пътища и според техните дела.
20 (K)И дойдоха те при народите, където отидоха, и обезславиха Моето свето име, защото за тях казват: „те са народ на Господа и излязоха от Неговата земя“.
21 (L)И пожалих Аз Моето свето име, което домът Израилев обезслави у народите, където отидоха.
22 (M)Затова кажи на дома Израилев: тъй казва Господ Бог: не заради вас ще направя това, доме Израилев, а заради Моето свето име, което вие обезславихте у народите, където отидохте.
23 (N)И ще осветя великото Си име, обезславено у народите, сред които го обезславихте, и ще познаят народите, че Аз съм Господ, казва Господ Бог, когато покажа върху вас светостта Си пред очите им.
24 Ще ви взема из народите, ще ви събера от всички страни и ще ви доведа във вашата земя.
25 (O)Ще ви поръся с чиста вода, – и вие ще се очистите от всички ваши скверноти, и от всички ваши идоли ще ви очистя.
26 (P)Ще ви дам ново сърце и нов дух ще ви дам; ще взема из вашата плът каменното сърце и ще ви дам сърце от плът.
27 (Q)Ще вложа във вас Моя Дух и ще направя да ходите по Моите заповеди, да пазите и изпълнявате Моите наредби.
28 (R)И ще живеете на земята, която дадох на отците ви, и ще бъдете Мой народ, и Аз ще бъда ваш Бог.
29 (S)Ще ви освободя от всички ваши нечистотии, ще призова житото и ще го умножа и не ще ви оставя да търпите глад.
30 Ще умножа дървесните плодове и полските произведения, та занапред да не търпите хули от народите поради глад.
31 (T)Тогава ще си спомните за лошите си пътища и за недобрите си дела и ще почувствувате погнуса към сами себе за беззаконията си и за гнусотиите си.
32 (U)Не заради вас ще сторя това, казва Господ Бог, нека ви бъде известно. Червете се и се срамувайте от вашите пътища, доме Израилев.
33 Тъй казва Господ Бог: в оня ден, когато ви очистя от всичките ви беззакония и населя градовете, и бъдат застроени развалините,
34 и опустошената земя, която беше пустиня в очите на всеки минувач, бъде разработена, –
35 (V)тогава ще кажат: „тая запустяла земя стана като Едемска градина, и тия съсипани, запустели и разорени градове се укрепиха и заселиха“.
36 (W)И ще познаят народите, които ще останат около вас, че Аз, Господ, изново съграждам разрушено, засаждам запустяло. Аз, Господ, казах – и извърших.
37 Тъй казва Господ Бог: ето, още и в това ще явя милостта Си към дома Израилев, ще ги умножа с люде като стадо.
38 (X)Както има много жертвени овци в Иерусалим във време на празниците му, тъй ще бъдат пълни с люде запустелите градове, и ще познаят, че Аз съм Господ.

2 Така казва Господ Иеова: Понеже неприятелят рече против вас: О хохо! и - Древните височини станаха наше владение,
3 затова, като пророкуваш речи: Така казва Господ Иеова: Понеже ви запустиха и погълнаха отвред, за да станете владение на другите народи, и станахте предмет на говоренето на устни, и на зли отзиви на людете,
4 затова, Израилеви планини, слушайте словото на Господа Иеова. Така казва Господ Иеова на планините и на хълмовете, на потоците и на долините, на запустелите пустоти и на напуснатите градове, които станаха корист и са за присмех на другите народи около тях, -
5 затова, казва Господ Иеова: Непременно в пламенната Си ревнивост говорих против другите народи, и против целия Едом, които с всесърдечна радост и с душевно презрение направиха Моята земя свое владение, за да я изхвърлят и разграбят;
6 затова, пророкувай за Израилевата земя, и кажи на планините и на хълмовете, на потоците и на долините: Така казва Господ Иеова: Ето, Аз говорих в ревността Си и в яростта Си, понеже понесох укор от народите;
7 затова, така казва Господ Иеова: Аз се заклех, че народите, които са около вас, непременно ще носят срама си.
8 А вие, Израилеви планини, ще изкарате клоновете си; и ще давате плода си на людете Ми Израиля; защото скоро ще дойдат.
9 Защото, ето, Аз съм за вас, и ще се обърна към вас, и вие ще бъдете обработвани и засявани.
10 И ще заселя върху вас много човеци, и целият Израилев дом, да! целия; и градовете ще се населят, и запустелите места ще се съградят.
11 И ще заселя върху вас много човеци и животни, които ще нараснат и се наплодят; и ще ви населя както бяхте по-напред, и ще ви сторя по-голямо добро отколкото в началото; и ще познаете, че Аз съм Господ.
12 Да! Ще направя да ходят по вас човеци, людете Ми Израил; те ще ви владеят, и вие ще им бъдете наследство, и за напред няма да ги обезчадите.
13 Така казва Господ Иеова: Понеже ви думат: Ти си земя, която поглъщаш човеци и обезчадваш людете си,
14 затова, няма вече да поглъщаш човеци, нито да обезчадваш вече народа си, казва Господ Иеова;
15 и няма вече да ти допусна да понесеш укор от народите, нито да носиш поругание от племената, и няма вече да направиш народа си да се препъва, казва Господ Иеова.
16 При това, Господното слово дойде към мене и рече:
17 Сине човешки, когато Израилевият дом живееха в земята си, те я оскверниха с постъпките си и с делата си; техните постъпки бяха пред мене отвратителни като нечистотата на отлъчена жена.
18 Затова, излях яростта Си върху тях поради кръвта, която бяха излели на земята, и поради идолите, с които я бяха омърсили;
19 разсях ги между народите, и те бидоха разпръснати по страните; според постъпките им и според делата им ги съдих.
20 И когато влязоха между народите гдето отидоха, омърсиха Моето свето име, тъй щото се говореше за тях: Тия са людете на Иеова, и из земята Му излязоха!
21 Смилих се обаче за светото Си име, което Израилевият дом бяха омърсили между народите, при които отидоха.
22 Затова, речи на Израилевия дом: Така казва Господ Иеова: Аз не правя това заради вас, доме Израилев, но заради Моето свето име, което омърсихте между народите, при които отидохте.
23 Аз ще осветя великото Си име, което е било омърсено между народите, което вие омърсихте между тях; и народите ще познаят, че Аз съм Господ, казва Иеова, когато се осветя у вас пред очите им.
24 Защото ще ви взема изсред народите, и ще ви събера от всичките страни, и ще ви доведа в земята ви.
25 Тогава ще поръся върху вас чиста вода, и ще се очистите; от всичките ви нечистоти и от всичките ви идоли ще ви очистя.
26 Ще ви дам и ново сърце, и нов дух ще вложа вътре във вас, и, като отнема каменното сърце от плътта ви, ще ви дам меко сърце.
27 И ще вложа Духа Си вътре във вас, и ще ви направя да ходите в повеленията Ми, да пазите съдбите Ми, и да ги извършвате.
28 Ще живеете в земята, която дадох на бащите ви; и вие ще ми бъдете люде, и Аз ще бъда ваш Бог.
29 Ще ви спася от всичките ви нечистоти; и като призова живото, ще го умножа, и не ще вече да ви докарам глад.
30 Ще умножа плода на дървото и рожбите на полето, за да не ви се присмиват вече народите, за гдето гладувате.
31 Тогава, като си спомните нечестивите си постъпки и недобрите си дела, ще се отвратите сами от себе си пред очите си поради беззаконията си и поради мерзостите си.
32 Не заради вас правя Аз това, казва Господ Иеова, нека ви бъде известно. Засрамете се и се смутете поради постъпките си, доме Израилев!
33 Така казва Господ Иеова: В деня, когато ви очистя от всичките ви беззакония, ще направя и да се населят градовете, и запустелите места ще се съградят.
34 Опустошената земя ще се обработи, макар че е била пуста пред очите на всекиго, който минаваше.
35 И ще казват: Тая земя, която бе запустяла, стана като Едемската градина, и запустелите, опустошените, и разорените градове се укрепиха и населиха.
36 Тогава народите, останали около вас ще познаят, че Аз Господ съградих разореното и насадих запустялото. Аз Господ изговорих това, и ще го извърша.
37 Така казва Господ Иеова: При това, Израилевият дом ще Ме потърси, за да им го сторя. Ще ги умножа с човеци като стадо;
38 като стадото за жертва, като стадото, което пълни Ерусалим във време на определените празници, така човешки стада ще пълнят запустелите градове; и ще познаят, че Аз съм Господ.

The Mountains of Israel to Be Blessed
36 “Now you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, ‘You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord. 2 This is what the Lord [a]God says: “Since the enemy has spoken against you, ‘Aha!’ and, ‘The everlasting [b](A)heights have become our possession,’ 3 therefore prophesy and say, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “[c]For good reason they have made you (B)desolate and harassed you from every side, so that you would become a possession of the rest of the nations; and you have been taken up in the [d](C)talk and the rumor of the people.”’” 4 Therefore, you (D)mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God. This is what the Lord God says to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, to the desolate ruins and to the abandoned cities which have become (E)plunder and an object of ridicule to the rest of the nations which are all around— 5 therefore the Lord God says this: “Certainly in the fire of My (F)jealousy I have spoken against the (G)rest of the nations, and against all Edom, who [e]appropriated My land for themselves as a possession with wholehearted (H)joy and with contempt of soul, in order to make its pastureland plunder.” 6 Therefore prophesy in regard to the land of Israel and say to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, “This is what the Lord God says: ‘Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and in My wrath because you have (I)endured the insults of the nations.’ 7 Therefore the Lord God says this: ‘I have [f]sworn that the nations that are around you will certainly endure their insults themselves. 8 But as for you, mountains of Israel, you will [g](J)grow your branches and bear fruit for My people Israel; for they are about to come. 9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will (K)turn to you, and you will be (L)cultivated and sown. 10 And I will multiply people on you, (M)all the house of Israel, all of it; and the (N)cities will be inhabited and the ruins will be rebuilt. 11 I will multiply on you people and animals, and they will increase and be fruitful; and I will populate you as you were (O)previously, and treat you (P)better than at the beginning. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 12 Yes, I will have (Q)people—My people Israel—walk on you and possess you, so that you will become their (R)inheritance and never again (S)bereave them of children.’
13 “The Lord God says this: ‘Since they say to you, “You are a (T)devourer of people and have bereaved your nation of children,” 14 for that reason you will no longer devour people and no longer bereave your nation of children,’ declares the Lord God. 15 I will not let you hear (U)insults from the nations anymore, nor will you suffer (V)disgrace from the peoples any longer, nor will you make your nation (W)stumble any longer,” declares the Lord God.’”
16 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 17 “Son of man, when the house of Israel was living on their own land, they (X)defiled it by their ways and their deeds; their way before Me was like (Y)the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity. 18 Therefore I (Z)poured out My wrath on them for the blood which they had shed on the land, because they had defiled it with their idols. 19 I also (AA)scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the lands. (AB)According to their ways and their deeds I judged them. 20 When they came to the nations where they went, they (AC)profaned My holy name, because it was said of them, ‘These are the (AD)people of the Lord, yet they have left His land.’ 21 But I had [h]concern for My (AE)holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they went.
Israel to Be Renewed for His Name’s Sake
22 “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “It is (AF)not for your sake, house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went. 23 And I will (AG)vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the (AH)nations will know that I am the Lord,” declares the Lord God, “when I show Myself holy among you in their sight. 24 For I will (AI)take you from the nations, and gather you from all the lands; and I will bring you into your own land. 25 Then I will (AJ)sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your (AK)filthiness and from all your (AL)idols. 26 Moreover, I will give you a (AM)new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the (AN)heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will (AO)put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and [i]follow My ordinances. 28 And you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be (AP)My people, and I will be your God. 29 Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I (AQ)will not [j]bring a famine on you. 30 Instead, I will (AR)multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, so that you will not receive again the disgrace of famine among the nations. 31 Then you will (AS)remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your wrongdoings and your abominations. 32 I am not doing this (AT)for your sake,” declares the Lord God; “let that be known to you. Be ashamed and humiliated for your ways, house of Israel!”
33 ‘This is what the Lord God says: “On the day that I cleanse you from all your wrongdoings, I will populate the (AU)cities, and the (AV)places of ruins will be rebuilt. 34 The desolated land will be cultivated instead of being a desolation in the sight of everyone who passes by. 35 And they will say, ‘This desolated land has become like the (AW)Garden of Eden; and the waste, desolated and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited.’ 36 Then the nations around you that are left will know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted that which was desolated; I, the Lord, have spoken, and I (AX)will do it.”
37 ‘This is what the Lord God says: “This too I will let the house of Israel ask Me to do for them: I will increase their people like a flock. 38 Like the (AY)flock [k]for sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem during her appointed feasts, so will the waste cities be filled with (AZ)flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”’”

Hope for the Mountains of Israel
36 “Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel(A) and say, ‘Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord. 2 This is what the Sovereign Lord says:(B) The enemy said of you, “Aha!(C) The ancient heights(D) have become our possession.(E)”’ 3 Therefore prophesy and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because they ravaged(F) and crushed you from every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people’s malicious talk and slander,(G) 4 therefore, mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign Lord: This is what the Sovereign Lord says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys,(H) to the desolate ruins(I) and the deserted(J) towns that have been plundered and ridiculed(K) by the rest of the nations around you(L)— 5 this is what the Sovereign Lord says: In my burning(M) zeal I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, for with glee and with malice in their hearts they made my land their own possession so that they might plunder its pastureland.’(N) 6 Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I speak in my jealous wrath because you have suffered the scorn of the nations.(O) 7 Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I swear with uplifted hand(P) that the nations around you will also suffer scorn.(Q)
8 “‘But you, mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit(R) for my people Israel, for they will soon come home. 9 I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown,(S) 10 and I will cause many people to live on you—yes, all of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins(T) rebuilt.(U) 11 I will increase the number of people and animals living on you, and they will be fruitful(V) and become numerous. I will settle people(W) on you as in the past(X) and will make you prosper more than before.(Y) Then you will know that I am the Lord. 12 I will cause people, my people Israel, to live on you. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance;(Z) you will never again deprive them of their children.
13 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because some say to you, “You devour people(AA) and deprive your nation of its children,” 14 therefore you will no longer devour people or make your nation childless, declares the Sovereign Lord. 15 No longer will I make you hear the taunts of the nations, and no longer will you suffer the scorn of the peoples or cause your nation to fall, declares the Sovereign Lord.(AB)’”
Israel’s Restoration Assured
16 Again the word of the Lord came to me: 17 “Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman’s monthly uncleanness(AC) in my sight.(AD) 18 So I poured out(AE) my wrath on them because they had shed blood in the land and because they had defiled it with their idols. 19 I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered(AF) through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions.(AG) 20 And wherever they went among the nations they profaned(AH) my holy name, for it was said of them, ‘These are the Lord’s people, and yet they had to leave his land.’(AI) 21 I had concern for my holy name, which the people of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone.(AJ)
22 “Therefore say to the Israelites, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: It is not for your sake, people of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name,(AK) which you have profaned(AL) among the nations where you have gone.(AM) 23 I will show the holiness of my great name,(AN) which has been profaned(AO) among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord,(AP) declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy(AQ) through you before their eyes.(AR)
24 “‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.(AS) 25 I will sprinkle(AT) clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse(AU) you from all your impurities(AV) and from all your idols.(AW) 26 I will give you a new heart(AX) and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone(AY) and give you a heart of flesh.(AZ) 27 And I will put my Spirit(BA) in you and move you to follow my decrees(BB) and be careful to keep my laws.(BC) 28 Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people,(BD) and I will be your God.(BE) 29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine(BF) upon you. 30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine.(BG) 31 Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices.(BH) 32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign Lord. Be ashamed(BI) and disgraced for your conduct, people of Israel!(BJ)
33 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On the day I cleanse(BK) you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins(BL) will be rebuilt.(BM) 34 The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. 35 They will say, “This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden;(BN) the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited.(BO)” 36 Then the nations around you that remain will know that I the Lord have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it.’(BP)
37 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Once again I will yield to Israel’s plea(BQ) and do this for them: I will make their people as numerous as sheep,(BR) 38 as numerous as the flocks for offerings(BS) at Jerusalem during her appointed festivals. So will the ruined cities be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.(BT)”
