35 И биде към мене слово Господне:
2 (A)сине човешки! обърни лицето си към планина Сеир, изречи против нея пророчество
3 (B)и кажи ѝ: тъй казва Господ Бог: ето, Аз съм против тебе, Сеир планино! ще простра против тебе ръката Си и ще те направя пуста и необитаема.
4 (C)Градовете ти ще обърна на развалини, и ти сама ще запустееш и ще познаеш, че Аз съм Господ.
5 (D)Понеже у тебе има вечна вражда, и ти предаваше Израилевите синове на меч във време на нещастието им, във време на крайната гибел, –
6 затова жив съм Аз! казва Господ Бог, ще те направя на кръв, и кръв ще те преследва; понеже кръв не си мразела, то кръв ще те и преследва.
7 Ще направя Сеир планина пуста и безлюдна степ и ще изтребя по нея идещ и отходещ.
8 И ще напълня оброчищата ѝ с нейните убити; по твоите хълмове и твоите долини и по всички твои ровини ще падат поразени от меч.
9 (E)Ще те направя вечна пустиня, и в твоите градове не ще се живее, и ще познаете, че Аз съм Господ.
10 (F)Понеже ти казваше: тия два народа и тия две земи ще бъдат мои, и ние ще ги завладеем, макар и Господ да е там,
11 (G)затова жив съм Аз! казва Господ Бог, ще постъпя с тебе според мярката на твоята омраза и твоята завист, която ти изказа от омраза към тях, и ще им се явя, когато ще те съдя.
12 (H)И ще познаеш, че Аз, Господ, чух всички твои хули, които ти произнасяше върху Израилевите планини, думайки: „запустяха! нам са дадени да ги поядем!“
13 Вие се големеехте пред Мене с езика си и умножавахте речите си против Мене; Аз чух това.
14 Тъй казва Господ Бог: когато цяла земя ще се радва, Аз ще те направя пустиня.
15 (I)Както ти се радваше, задето дялът на Израилевия дом запустя, тъй и с тебе ще направя: ще бъдеш опустошена, Сеир планино, и цяла Идумея заедно, – и ще познаят, че Аз съм Господ.

35 При това, Господното слово дойде към мене и рече:
2 Сине човешки, насочи лицето си против хълма Сиир, и пророкувай против него, като му речеш:
3 Така казва Господ Иеова: Ето, хълме Сиир, Аз съм против тебе; ще простра ръката Си против тебе, и ще те обърна в опустошение и ще бъдеш за учудване.
4 Ще разоря градовете ти, и ти ще запустееш; и ще познаеш, че Аз съм Господ.
5 Понеже си хранил непрекъсната омраза, и си предал израилтяните в силата на меча във времето на бедствието им, когато беззаконието им е стигнало до края си;
6 затова, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Иеова, ще те предам на кръв, и кръв ще те преследва; понеже не си намразил кръвта, то кръв ще те преследва.
7 Така ще направя хълма Сиир да бъде за учудване и да запустее; и ще изтребя от него и оня, който минава, и оня, който се връща.
8 Ще напълня планините му с убитите му; по хълмовете ти, по долините ти, и по всичките ти реки ще паднат убитите от нож.
9 Ще обърна на вечно опустошение, и градовете ти няма да се населят; и ще познаете, че Аз съм Господ.
10 Понеже си рекъл: Тия два народа и тия две страни ще бъдат мои, и ние ще ги владеем, ако и да е бил Господ там,
11 затова, заклевам се в живота Си, казва Господ Иеова, ще постъпя според гнева и според завистта, която си показал поради омразата си към тях; и ще им се бъда познат, когато те съдя.
12 И ти ще познаеш, че Аз Господ чух всичките хули, които си произнесъл против Израилевите планини, като си рекъл: Те запустяха; нам са дадени за храна.
13 И с устата си говорихте високомерно против Мене, и казахте много думи против Мене; аз чух.
14 Така казва Господ Иеова: Когато се весели целият свят, Аз ще те направя пуст.
15 Както си се развеселил за дето запустя наследството на Израилевия дом, така направя на тебе; ще запустееш, хълме Сиир, и целият Едом, да! целият; и ще познаят, че Аз съм Господ.

Prophecy against Mount Seir
35 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, set your face against (A)Mount Seir, and prophesy against it 3 and say to it, ‘This is what the Lord [a]God says:
“Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir,
And I will (B)reach out with My hand against you
And make you a (C)desolation and a waste.
4 I will (D)turn your cities to ruins,
And you will become a desolation.
Then you will know that I am the Lord.
5 Since you have had everlasting (E)hostility and have turned over the sons of Israel to the power of the sword at the time of their disaster, at the time of the [b](F)punishment of the end, 6 therefore as I live,” declares the Lord God, “I will certainly [c]doom you to (G)bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you; since you have not hated bloodshed, therefore bloodshed will pursue you. 7 I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation and I will eliminate from it one who passes through and returns. 8 I will (H)fill its mountains with its slain; those killed by the sword will fall on your hills, in your valleys, and in all your ravines. 9 I will make you a permanent (I)desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
10 “Since you have (J)said, ‘These two nations and these two lands will be mine, and we will possess [d]them,’ although the (K)Lord was there, 11 therefore as I live,” declares the Lord God, “I will deal with you (L)according to your anger and according to your envy which you displayed because of your hatred for them; so I will (M)make Myself known among them when I judge you. 12 Then you will know [e]that I, the Lord, have heard all your insults which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel saying, ‘They are desolate; they have been (N)given to us as food.’ 13 And you have [f](O)spoken arrogantly against Me and have multiplied your words against Me; (P)I Myself have heard it.” 14 This is what the Lord God says: “As all the (Q)earth rejoices, I will make you a desolation. 15 As you (R)rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, (S)so I will do to you. You will be a (T)desolation, Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”’

A Prophecy Against Edom
35 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir;(A) prophesy against it 3 and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand(B) against you and make you a desolate waste.(C) 4 I will turn your towns into ruins(D) and you will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the Lord.(E)
5 “‘Because you harbored an ancient hostility and delivered the Israelites over to the sword(F) at the time of their calamity,(G) the time their punishment reached its climax,(H) 6 therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will give you over to bloodshed(I) and it will pursue you.(J) Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you. 7 I will make Mount Seir a desolate waste(K) and cut off from it all who come and go.(L) 8 I will fill your mountains with the slain; those killed by the sword will fall on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines.(M) 9 I will make you desolate forever;(N) your towns will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.(O)
10 “‘Because you have said, “These two nations and countries will be ours and we will take possession(P) of them,” even though I the Lord was there, 11 therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will treat you in accordance with the anger(Q) and jealousy you showed in your hatred of them and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.(R) 12 Then you will know that I the Lord have heard all the contemptible things you have said against the mountains of Israel. You said, “They have been laid waste and have been given over to us to devour.(S)” 13 You boasted(T) against me and spoke against me without restraint, and I heard it.(U) 14 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: While the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.(V) 15 Because you rejoiced(W) when the inheritance of Israel became desolate, that is how I will treat you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir,(X) you and all of Edom.(Y) Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”
