15 И биде към мене слово Господне:
2 сине човешки! кое предимство има дървото на лозата пред всяко друго дърво, и пръчките на лозата – пред дърветата в гората?
3 Взимат ли от него къс за някое изделие? Взимат ли от него поне за клечка, да окачват на нея някоя вещ?
4 (A)Ето, хвърлят го в огъня да изгори; двата му края огън пояде, и обгоря средата му; става ли то за някакво изделие?
5 И когато то беше цяло, не ставаше за никакво изделие; още повече, когато огънят го пояде, и то обгоря, става ли то за някакво изделие?
6 Затова тъй казва Господ Бог: както лозовото дърво между горските дървета предадох на огън, за да изгори, тъй нему ще предам и иерусалимските жители.
7 И ще обърна лицето Си против тях; из един огън ще излязат, и друг огън ще ги погълне, – и ще познаете, че Аз съм Господ, кога обърна против тях лицето Си.
8 И ще направя тая земя пустиня, задето те вероломно постъпваха, казва Господ Бог.

Jerusalén, una vid inútil
15 La palabra del Señor vino a mí y me dijo: 2 «Hijo de hombre, ¿en qué supera la madera de la vid a la madera de los árboles del bosque? 3 ¿Se extrae madera para hacer algo útil? ¿O se usa como soporte para colgar objetos? 4 ¡Escasamente sirve para alimentar el fuego! Pero ¿de qué sirve cuando sus extremos se consumen y ya se ha quemado por dentro? 5 Si cuando estaba entera no servía para nada, ¡mucho menos cuando ya ha sido consumida por el fuego!
6 »Por tanto, así dice el Señor y Dios: Como la leña de la vid, la cual aparté de los árboles del bosque y eché al fuego; así haré con los habitantes de Jerusalén. 7 Voy a enfrentarme a ellos; ¡se han librado de un fuego, pero serán consumidos por otro! Cuando me enfrente a ellos, ustedes sabrán que yo soy el Señor. 8 Dejaré a este país en ruinas, porque ha sido infiel, afirma el Señor y Dios».

15 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 Son of man, what shall be made of the wood of the vine, out of all the trees of the woods that are among the trees of the forests?
3 Shall wood be taken of it, to do any work, or shall a pin be made of it for any vessel to hang thereon?
4 Behold it is cast into the fire for fuel: the fire hath consumed both ends thereof, and the midst thereof is reduced to ashes: shall it be useful for any work?
5 Even when it was whole it was not fit for work: how much less, when the fire hath devoured and consumed it, shall any work be made of it?
6 Therefore thus saith the Lord God: As the vine tree among the trees of the forests which I have given to the fire to be consumed, so will I deliver up the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
7 And I will set my face against them: they shall go out from fire, and fire shall consume them: and you shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have set my face against them.
8 And I shall have made their land a wilderness, and desolate, because they have been transgressors, saith the Lord God.
