7 Словото, което дойде към Еремия от Господа, казвайки:
2 Застани в портата на дома Господен, Та възгласи там това слово, като кажеш: Слушайте словото Господно, всички юдейци, Които влизате през тези порти, за да се поклоните Господу.
3 Така казва Господ на Силите, Израилевият Бог: Поправете пътищата си и делата си, И Аз ще ви утвърдя на това място.
4 Не уповавайте на лъжливи думи, та да казвате: Храмът Господен, храмът Господен, Храмът Господен е това.
5 Защото ако наистина поправите пътищата си и делата си; Ако съдите съвършено право между човека и ближния му;
6 Ако не угнетявате чужденеца, сирачето и вдовицата, И не проливате невинна кръв на това място, Нито следвате чужди богове за ваша повреда;
7 Тогава ще ви направя да живеете на това място, В земята, която дадох на бащите от века и до века.
8 Ето, вие уповавате на лъжливи думи, От които няма да се ползувате.
9 Като крадете, убивате, прелюбодействувате, И се кълнете лъжливо, и кадите на Ваала, И следвате други богове, които не сте познавали
10 Дохождате ли после да стоите пред мене в тоя дом, Който се нарича с Моето име, И да казвате - Отървахме се, - за да вършите всички тия мерзости?
11 Тоя дом, който се нарича с Моето име, Вертеп ли за разбойници стана във вашите очи? Ето, сам Аз видях това, казва Господ.
12 Но идете сега на мястото Ми, което бе в Сило, Гдето в начало настаних името си, Та вижте що му сторих Поради злодеянието на людете Си Израиля.
13 И сега понеже извършихте всички тия дела, казва Господ, И Аз ви говорих, като ставах рано и говорех, а вие не послушахте, И ви виках, но не отговорихте;
14 Затова, ще направя на дома, който се нарича с Моето име, На който вие уповавате, И на мястото, което дадох вам и на бащите ви, Както направих на Сило.
15 И ще ви отхвърля от лицето Си Както отхвърлих всичките ви братя, Цялото Ефремово потомство.
16 Затова, ти недей се моли за тия люде, И не възнасяй вик или молба за тях, Нито ходатайствувай пред мене; Защото няма да те послушам.
17 Не видиш ли що вършат те в Юдовите градове И по ерусалимските улици?
18 Чадата събират дърва, и бащите кладат огъня, А жените месят тестото, За да направят пити на небесната царица, И да направят възлияния на други богове, Та да Ме разгневят.
19 Но Мене ли разгневяват? казва Господ, - Дали не себе си разгневяват за посрамяване на своите лица?
20 Затова, така казва Господ Иеова: Ето, гневът Ми и яростта Ми ще се излеят на това място, На човек, и на животно, На полските дървета, и на земния плод; И ще пламне, и няма да угасне.
21 Така казва Господ на Силите, Израилевият Бог: Притурете всеизгарянията си на жертвите си, И яжте месото и от тях.
22 Защото не говорих на бащите ви, нито им дадох заповеди, За всеизгаряния и жертви В денят, когато ги изведох из Египетската земя;
23 Но това им заповядах, като рекох: Слушайте гласа Ми, И Аз ще ви бъде Бог, И вие ще Ми бъдете люде! И ходете по всичките пътища, които ви заповядвам, За да благоденствувате.
24 Те, обаче, не послушаха нито преклониха ухото си, Но ходиха по намеренията и по упоритостта на своето нечестиво сърце, И отидоха назад, а не напред.
25 От деня, когато излязоха бащите ви из Египетската земя, до днес Пращах всичките Си слуги пророците при вас, Като ставах рано всеки ден и ги пращах;
26 Те обаче не Ме послушаха, нито преклониха ухото си, Но закоравиха врата си; Постъпиха по-зле от бащите си.
27 Затова, говори им всички тия думи, Но те няма да те послушат; Тоже извикай към тях, Но те не ще ти отговорят.
28 Тогава им кажи: Тоя е народът, който не слуша гласа на Господа своя Бог, Нито приема наставления; Честността изчезна и се изгуби от устата им.
29 Острижи косата си, дъщерьо ерусалимска, и хвърли я, И плачи със силен глас по голите височини; Защото Господ отхвърли и остави поколението, на което се разгневи.
30 Защото Юдейците сториха това, което бе зло пред Мене, казва Господ; Поставиха мерзостите си в дома, Който се нарича с Моето име, та го оскверниха.
31 И издигнаха високите места на Тофет, Който е в долината на Еномовия син, За да горят синовете си и дъщерите си в огън, - Нещо, което не съм заповядал, нито ми е дохождало на ум*.
32 Затова, ето, идат дни, казва Господ, Когато няма да се нарича вече Тофет, Нито долина на Еномовия син, Но долина на клането; Защото ще погребват в Тофет, понеже не ще остане място другаде;
33 И труповете на тия люде ще бъдат Храна на небесните птици и на земните зверове; И не ще има кой да ги плаши.
34 Тогава ще направя да престане в Юдовите градове И по Ерусалимските улици Гласът на радостта и гласът на веселието, Гласът на младоженеца и гласът на невястата; Защото земята ще запустее.

7 Слово, което биде към Иеремия от Господа:
2 (A)застани при вратата на дома Господен и обяви там това слово и кажи: чуйте словото Господне, всички иудеи, които влизате през тия врата да се покланяте на Господа.
3 (B)Тъй казва Господ Саваот, Бог Израилев: изправете вашите пътища и вашите дела, и Аз ще ви оставя да живеете на това място.
4 (C)Не се уповавайте на лъжливите думи: „тук е храмът Господен, храмът Господен, храмът Господен“.
5 (D)Но ако изправите напълно вашите пътища и вашите дела, ако вярно извършвате съд между човека и съперника му,
6 (E)не притеснявате другоземец, сирак и вдовица, не проливате невинна кръв на това място и не тръгнете след други богове за ваша беда,
7 Аз ще ви оставя да живеете на това място, в тая земя, която дадох на вашите отци от века до века.
8 (F)Ето, вие се уповавате на лъжливи думи, които не ще ви принесат полза.
9 (G)Как! Вие крадете и убивате, прелюбодействувате и се кълнете в лъжа, кадите Ваалу и ходите след други богове, които не познавате,
10 (H)и после дохаждате и се изправяте пред лицето Ми в тоя дом, над който е призовано Моето име, и казвате: „спасени сме“, та занапред да вършите всички тия гнусотии!
11 (I)Не обърна ли се във вашите очи на разбойнишки вертеп тоя дом, над който е призовано Моето име? Ето, Аз видях това, казва Господ.
12 (J)Но идете на Моето място в Силом, дето по-преди бях отредил да пребъдва Моето име, и вижте, какво направих с него поради нечестието на Моя народ Израил.
13 (K)И сега, понеже вършите всички тия работи, казва Господ, и Аз ви говорих от ранно утро, а вие не слушахте, и виках ви, а вие не отговаряхте, –
14 (L)то Аз също тъй ще постъпя с тоя дом, над който е призовано Моето име, на който вие се уповавате, и с мястото, което дадох вам и на бащите ви, както постъпих със Силом.
15 (M)И ще ви отхвърля от лицето Си, както отхвърлих всички ваши братя, цялото Ефремово семе.
16 (N)А ти не се моли за тоя народ и не възнасяй заради него молитви и просби, и не ходатайствувай пред Мене, защото няма да те чуя.
17 Не виждаш ли, какво вършат те в градовете на Иудея и по улиците иерусалимски?
18 (O)Децата събират дърва, а бащите кладат огън, и жените месят тесто, за да правят банички за богинята на небето и да извършват възлияние на други богове, за да Ме огорчават.
19 Но Мене ли огорчават те? казва Господ; не себе си ли – за техен срам?
20 (P)Затова тъй казва Господ Бог: ето, излива се Моят гняв и Моята ярост върху това място, върху люде и върху добитък, върху полски дървета и върху земни плодове, ще се запали и не ще угасне.
21 (Q)Тъй казва Господ Саваот, Бог Израилев: вашите всесъжения слагайте при вашите жертви и яжте месото;
22 (R)защото Аз не говорих на бащите ви и не им давах заповеди за всесъжения и жертви в оня ден, когато ги изведох из Египетската земя,
23 (S)а такава заповед им дадох: слушайте Моя глас и Аз ще бъда ваш Бог, а вие ще бъдете Мой народ, и ходете по всякой път, който ви заповядвам, за да ви е добре.
24 (T)Но те не послушаха и не наклониха ухо, и живяха по внушението и по упорството на злото си сърце, и обърнаха Ми гръб, а не лице.
25 (U)От оня ден, когато бащите ви излязоха из Египетската земя, до днес пращах при вас всичките Мои раби – пророците, пращах всеки ден от ранно утро;
26 (V)но те не Ме послушаха и не наклониха ухо, а станаха твърдоглави, постъпваха по-зле от бащите си.
27 И когато ще им говориш всички тия думи, те не ще те послушат; и когато ще ги викаш, не ще ти отговорят.
28 (W)Тогава им кажи: ето народ, който не слуша гласа на Господа, своя Бог, и не приема поука! Няма у тях истина, тя е отнета от устата им.
29 (X)Острижи косата си и я хвърли, и надай плач по планините, защото Господ отхвърли и остави рода, който навлече гнева Му.
30 (Y)Защото синовете на Иуда вършат зло пред Моите очи, казва Господ; поставиха своите гнусотии в дома, над който е призовано Моето име, за да го осквернят;
31 (Z)и наредиха оброчища на Тофет в долината на Еномовите синове, за да изгарят в огън синовете си и дъщерите си, което н съм заповядал и което на ум не Ми е идвало.
32 (AA)Затова ето, идат дни, казва Господ, когато това място не ще се вече нарича Тофет и долина на синовете Еномови, но долина на убийство, и в Тофет ще погребват по нямане на място.
33 (AB)И труповете на тоя народ ще бъдат храна на небесни птици и на земни зверове, и не ще има кой да ги пропъжда.
34 (AC)В градовете на Иудея и по улиците иерусалимски ще прекратя глас на тържество и глас на веселие, глас на младоженец и глас на невеста; защото тая земя ще стане пустиня.

7 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
2 Stand in the gate of the Lord's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord.
3 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
4 Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, are these.
5 For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
8 Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord.
12 But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
13 And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the Lord, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;
14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.
16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
17 Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the Lord: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
20 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, mine anger and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.
21 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.
22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
27 Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the Lord hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the Lord: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.
31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
32 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
33 And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
34 Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

7 耶和華的話臨到耶利米，說： 2 「你當站在耶和華殿的門口，在那裏宣講這話說：所有從這些門進來敬拜耶和華的猶大人哪，當聽耶和華的話。 3 萬軍之耶和華—以色列的 神如此說：你們要改正你們的所作所為，我就使你們仍然居住這地[a]。 4 不要倚靠虛謊的話，說：『這是耶和華的殿，是耶和華的殿，是耶和華的殿！』
5 「你們若實在改正你們的所作所為，彼此誠然施行公平， 6 不欺壓寄居的和孤兒寡婦，不在這地方流無辜人的血，也不隨從別神陷害自己， 7 我就使你們仍然居住這地[b]，就是我從古時所賜給你們祖先的地，從永遠到永遠。
8 「看哪，你們倚靠虛謊無益的話語。 9 你們豈可偷盜，殺害，姦淫，起假誓，向巴力燒香，隨從素不認識的別神， 10 又來到這稱為我名下的殿，在我面前敬拜，說『我們平安無事』，為了要行這一切可憎的事呢？ 11 這稱為我名下的殿在你們眼中豈可看為賊窩呢？看哪，我真的都看見了。這是耶和華說的。 12 你們到我的地方示羅去，就是我先前在那裏立為我名的居所，察看我因這百姓以色列的罪惡向那地方所行的事。 13 現在，因你們行了這一切的事，我一再警戒你們，你們卻不聽從；我呼喚你們，你們也不回應。這是耶和華說的。 14 所以我要向這稱為我名下、你們所倚靠的殿，與我所賜給你們和你們祖先的地這樣行，正如我從前向示羅所行的。 15 我必將你們從我眼前趕出，正如趕出你們的眾弟兄，就是所有以法蓮的後裔。」
百姓違背命令
16 「所以，你不要為這百姓祈禱；不要為他們呼求禱告，也不要為他們向我祈求，因我不聽你。 17 他們在猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街上所做的，你難道沒有看見嗎？ 18 孩子撿柴，父親燒火，婦女揉麵做餅，獻給天后，又向別神獻澆酒祭，惹我發怒。 19 他們豈是惹我發怒呢？不是自己惹禍，以致臉上慚愧嗎？這是耶和華說的。」 20 所以主耶和華如此說：「看哪，我必將我的怒氣和憤怒傾倒在這地方的人和牲畜身上、田野的樹木和地裏的出產上，它必燃燒，不會熄滅。」
21 萬軍之耶和華—以色列的 神如此說：「你們要將燔祭加在你們的祭物上，又要吃肉； 22 因為我將你們祖先從埃及地領出來的那日，燔祭和祭物的事我並沒有提說，也沒有吩咐他們。 23 我只吩咐他們這一件事說：『你們當聽從我的話，我就作你們的 神，你們也作我的子民。你們行走我所吩咐的一切道路，就可以得福。』 24 他們卻不聽從，也不側耳而聽，竟隨從自己的計謀和頑梗的惡心去行，不進反退。 25 自從你們祖先出埃及地的那日，直到今日，我每日一再差遣我的僕人眾先知到你們那裏去。 26 你們卻不聽我，不側耳而聽，竟硬着頸項行惡，比你們的祖先更甚。
27 「你要將這一切的話告訴他們，他們卻不聽你；呼喚他們，他們卻不回應。 28 你要對他們說：『這就是不聽從耶和華—他們 神的話、不領受訓誨的國民；誠信已從他們口中消失殆盡了。
29 耶路撒冷啊，要剪頭髮，扔掉它，
在光禿的高地唱哀歌，
因為耶和華棄絕、離棄了惹他發怒的世代。』」
在欣嫩子谷的罪行
30 「猶大人行我眼中看為惡的事，將可憎之偶像立在稱為我名下的殿裏，玷污這殿。這是耶和華說的。 31 他們在欣嫩子谷建造陀斐特的丘壇，要在火中焚燒自己的兒女。這並不是我所吩咐的，我心裏也從來沒有想過。 32 因此，看哪，日子將到，這地方不再稱為陀斐特和欣嫩子谷，反倒稱為殺戮谷。他們要在陀斐特埋葬屍首，甚至無處可葬。這是耶和華說的。 33 並且這百姓的屍首要給空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸作食物，無人嚇走牠們。 34 那時，我必止息猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街上歡喜和快樂的聲音、新郎和新娘的聲音，因為這地必然荒蕪。」

7 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 “Stand(A) at the gate of the Lord’s house and there proclaim this message:
“‘Hear the word of the Lord, all you people of Judah who come through these gates to worship the Lord. 3 This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Reform your ways(B) and your actions, and I will let you live(C) in this place. 4 Do not trust(D) in deceptive(E) words and say, “This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord!” 5 If you really change(F) your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly,(G) 6 if you do not oppress(H) the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood(I) in this place, and if you do not follow other gods(J) to your own harm, 7 then I will let you live in this place, in the land(K) I gave your ancestors(L) for ever and ever. 8 But look, you are trusting(M) in deceptive(N) words that are worthless.
9 “‘Will you steal(O) and murder,(P) commit adultery(Q) and perjury,[a](R) burn incense to Baal(S) and follow other gods(T) you have not known, 10 and then come and stand(U) before me in this house,(V) which bears my Name, and say, “We are safe”—safe to do all these detestable things?(W) 11 Has this house,(X) which bears my Name, become a den of robbers(Y) to you? But I have been watching!(Z) declares the Lord.
12 “‘Go now to the place in Shiloh(AA) where I first made a dwelling(AB) for my Name,(AC) and see what I did(AD) to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel. 13 While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke(AE) to you again and again,(AF) but you did not listen;(AG) I called(AH) you, but you did not answer.(AI) 14 Therefore, what I did to Shiloh(AJ) I will now do to the house that bears my Name,(AK) the temple(AL) you trust in, the place I gave to you and your ancestors. 15 I will thrust you from my presence,(AM) just as I did all your fellow Israelites, the people of Ephraim.’(AN)
16 “So do not pray for this people nor offer any plea(AO) or petition for them; do not plead with me, for I will not listen(AP) to you. 17 Do you not see what they are doing in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 18 The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven.(AQ) They pour out drink offerings(AR) to other gods to arouse(AS) my anger. 19 But am I the one they are provoking?(AT) declares the Lord. Are they not rather harming themselves, to their own shame?(AU)
20 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign(AV) Lord says: My anger(AW) and my wrath will be poured(AX) out on this place—on man and beast, on the trees of the field and on the crops of your land—and it will burn and not be quenched.(AY)
21 “‘This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go ahead, add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices(AZ) and eat(BA) the meat yourselves! 22 For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands(BB) about burnt offerings and sacrifices,(BC) 23 but I gave them this command:(BD) Obey(BE) me, and I will be your God and you will be my people.(BF) Walk in obedience to all(BG) I command you, that it may go well(BH) with you. 24 But they did not listen(BI) or pay attention;(BJ) instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts.(BK) They went backward(BL) and not forward. 25 From the time your ancestors left Egypt until now, day after day, again and again(BM) I sent you my servants(BN) the prophets.(BO) 26 But they did not listen to me or pay attention.(BP) They were stiff-necked(BQ) and did more evil than their ancestors.’(BR)
27 “When you tell(BS) them all this, they will not listen(BT) to you; when you call to them, they will not answer.(BU) 28 Therefore say to them, ‘This is the nation that has not obeyed the Lord its God or responded to correction.(BV) Truth(BW) has perished; it has vanished from their lips.
29 “‘Cut off(BX) your hair and throw it away; take up a lament(BY) on the barren heights, for the Lord has rejected and abandoned(BZ) this generation that is under his wrath.
The Valley of Slaughter
30 “‘The people of Judah have done evil(CA) in my eyes, declares the Lord. They have set up their detestable idols(CB) in the house that bears my Name and have defiled(CC) it. 31 They have built the high places of Topheth(CD) in the Valley of Ben Hinnom(CE) to burn their sons and daughters(CF) in the fire—something I did not command, nor did it enter my mind.(CG) 32 So beware, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when people will no longer call it Topheth or the Valley of Ben Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter,(CH) for they will bury(CI) the dead in Topheth until there is no more room. 33 Then the carcasses(CJ) of this people will become food(CK) for the birds and the wild animals, and there will be no one to frighten them away.(CL) 34 I will bring an end to the sounds(CM) of joy and gladness and to the voices of bride and bridegroom(CN) in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem,(CO) for the land will become desolate.(CP)
