1 A’r Arglwydd a lefarodd wrth Moses, yn anialwch Sinai, ym mhabell y cyfarfod, ar y dydd cyntaf o’r ail fis, yn yr ail flwyddyn wedi eu dyfod hwy allan o dir yr Aifft, gan ddywedyd, 2 Cymerwch nifer holl gynulleidfa meibion Israel, yn ôl eu teuluoedd, wrth dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, pob gwryw wrth eu pennau; 3 O fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a allo fyned i ryfel yn Israel: ti ac Aaron a’u cyfrifwch hwynt yn ôl eu lluoedd. 4 A bydded gyda chwi ŵr o bob llwyth; sef y gŵr pennaf o dŷ ei dadau.
5 A dyma enwau’r gwŷr a safant gyda chwi. O lwyth Reuben; Elisur mab Sedeur. 6 O lwyth Simeon; Selumiel mab Surisadai. 7 O lwyth Jwda; Nahson mab Aminadab. 8 O lwyth Issachar; Nethaneel mab Suar. 9 O lwyth Sabulon; Elïab mab Helon. 10 O feibion Joseff: dros Effraim, Elisama mab Ammihud; dros Manasse, Gamaliel mab Pedasur. 11 O lwyth Benjamin; Abidan mab Gideoni. 12 O lwyth Dan; Ahieser mab Ammisadai. 13 O lwyth Aser; Pagiel mab Ocran. 14 O lwyth Gad; Elisaff mab Deuel. 15 O lwyth Nafftali; Anira mab Enan. 16 Dyma rai enwog y gynulleidfa, tywysogion llwythau eu tadau,penaethiaid miloedd Israel oeddynt hwy.
17 A chymerodd Moses ac Aaron y gwŷr hyn a hysbysasid wrth eu henwau; 18 Ac a gasglasant yr holl gynulleidfa ynghyd ar y dydd cyntaf o’r ail fis; a rhoddasant eu hachau, trwy eu teuluoedd, yn ôl tŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, erbyn eu pennau. 19 Megis y gorchmynnodd yr Arglwydd i Moses, felly y rhifodd efe hwynt yn anialwch Sinai.
20 A meibion Reuben, cyntaf‐anedig Israel, wrth eu cenedl eu hun, yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, erbyn eu pennau, pob gwryw o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a allai fyned i ryfel; 21 Y rhai a rifwyd ohonynt, sef o lwyth Reuben, oedd chwe mil a deugain a phum cant.
22 O feibion Simeon, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, eu rhifedigion oedd, dan rif eu henwau, erbyn eu pennau, pob gwryw o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, sef pob un a’r a allai fyned i ryfel; 23 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Simeon, oedd onid un fil trigain mil a thri chant.
24 O feibion Gad, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu lluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a allai fyned i ryfel; 25 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Gad, oeddynt bum mil a deugain a chwe chant a deg a deugain.
26 O feibion Jwda, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pawb a’r a oedd yn gallu myned i ryfel; 27 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Jwda, oedd bedair mil ar ddeg a thrigain a chwe chant.
28 O feibion Issachar, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a oedd yn gallu myned i ryfel; 29 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Issachar, oedd bedair mil ar ddeg a deugain a phedwar cant.
30 O feibion Sabulon, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a ydoedd yn gallu myned i ryfel; 31 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Sabulon, oedd ddwy fil ar bymtheg a deugain a phedwar cant.
32 O feibion Joseff, sef o feibion Effraim, wrth eu cenedlaethau, yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a ydoedd yn gallu myned i ryfel; 33 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Effraim, oedd ddeugain mil a phum cant.
34 O feibion Manasse, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a oedd yn gallu myned i ryfel; 35 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Manasse, oedd ddeuddeng mil ar hugain a dau gant.
36 O feibion Benjamin, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a oedd yn gallu myned i ryfel; 37 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Benjamin, oedd bymtheg mil ar hugain a phedwar cant.
38 O feibion Dan, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a oedd yn gallu myned i ryfel; 39 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Dan, oeddynt ddwy fil a thrigain a saith gant.
40 O feibion Aser, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a oedd yn gallu myned i ryfel; 41 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Aser, oeddynt un fil a deugain a phum cant.
42 O feibion Nafftali, wrth eu cenedlaethau yn ôl eu teuluoedd, o dŷ eu tadau, dan rif eu henwau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a ydoedd yn gallu myned i ryfel; 43 Eu rhifedigion hwynt, o lwyth Nafftali, oedd dair mil ar ddeg a deugain a phedwar cant. 44 Dyma’r rhifedigion, y rhai a rifodd Moses, ac Aaron, a thywysogion Israel; sef y deuddengwr, y rhai oedd bob un dros dŷ eu tadau. 45 Felly yr ydoedd holl rifedigion meibion Israel, wrth dŷ eu tadau, o fab ugain mlwydd ac uchod, pob un a’r a ydoedd yn gallu myned i ryfel yn Israel; 46 A’r holl rifedigion oedd chwe chan mil a thair mil a phum cant a deg a deugain.
47 Ond y Lefiaid, trwy holl lwythau eu tadau, ni rifwyd yn eu mysg hwynt: 48 Canys llefarasai yr Arglwydd wrth Moses, gan ddywedyd, 49 Ond na chyfrif lwyth Lefi, ac na chymer eu nifer hwynt, ymysg meibion Israel. 50 Ond dod i’r Lefiaid awdurdod ar babell y dystiolaeth, ac ar ei holl ddodrefn ac ar yr hyn oll a berthyn iddi: hwynt‐hwy a ddygant y babell, a’i holl ddodrefn, ac a’i gwasanaethant, ac a wersyllant o amgylch i’r babell. 51 A phan symudo’r babell, y Lefiaid a’i tyn hi i lawr; a phan arhoso’r babell, y Lefiaid a’i gesyd hi i fyny: lladder y dieithr a ddelo yn agos. 52 A gwersylled meibion Israel bob un yn ei wersyll ei hun, a phob un wrth ei luman ei hun, trwy eu lluoedd. 53 A’r Lefiaid a wersyllant o amgylch pabell y dystiolaeth, fel na byddo llid yn erbyn cynulleidfa meibion Israel: a chadwed y Lefiaid wyliadwriaeth pabell y dystiolaeth. 54 A meibion Israel a wnaethant yn ôl yr hyn oll a orchmynasai yr Arglwydd wrth Moses; felly y gwnaethant.

The Census
1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting(A) in the Desert of Sinai(B) on the first day of the second month(C) of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt.(D) He said: 2 “Take a census(E) of the whole Israelite community by their clans and families,(F) listing every man by name,(G) one by one. 3 You and Aaron(H) are to count according to their divisions all the men in Israel who are twenty years old or more(I) and able to serve in the army.(J) 4 One man from each tribe,(K) each of them the head of his family,(L) is to help you.(M) 5 These are the names(N) of the men who are to assist you:
from Reuben,(O) Elizur son of Shedeur;(P)
6 from Simeon,(Q) Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;(R)
7 from Judah,(S) Nahshon son of Amminadab;(T)
8 from Issachar,(U) Nethanel son of Zuar;(V)
9 from Zebulun,(W) Eliab son of Helon;(X)
10 from the sons of Joseph:
from Ephraim,(Y) Elishama son of Ammihud;(Z)
from Manasseh,(AA) Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;(AB)
11 from Benjamin,(AC) Abidan son of Gideoni;(AD)
12 from Dan,(AE) Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;(AF)
13 from Asher,(AG) Pagiel son of Okran;(AH)
16 These were the men appointed from the community, the leaders(AM) of their ancestral tribes.(AN) They were the heads of the clans of Israel.(AO)
17 Moses and Aaron took these men whose names had been specified, 18 and they called the whole community together on the first day of the second month.(AP) The people registered their ancestry(AQ) by their clans and families,(AR) and the men twenty years old or more(AS) were listed by name, one by one, 19 as the Lord commanded Moses. And so he counted(AT) them in the Desert of Sinai:
20 From the descendants of Reuben(AU) the firstborn son(AV) of Israel:
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, one by one, according to the records of their clans and families. 21 The number from the tribe of Reuben(AW) was 46,500.
22 From the descendants of Simeon:(AX)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were counted and listed by name, one by one, according to the records of their clans and families. 23 The number from the tribe of Simeon was 59,300.(AY)
24 From the descendants of Gad:(AZ)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 25 The number from the tribe of Gad(BA) was 45,650.
26 From the descendants of Judah:(BB)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 27 The number from the tribe of Judah(BC) was 74,600.
28 From the descendants of Issachar:(BD)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 29 The number from the tribe of Issachar(BE) was 54,400.(BF)
30 From the descendants of Zebulun:(BG)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 31 The number from the tribe of Zebulun was 57,400.(BH)
32 From the sons of Joseph:(BI)
From the descendants of Ephraim:(BJ)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 33 The number from the tribe of Ephraim(BK) was 40,500.
34 From the descendants of Manasseh:(BL)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 35 The number from the tribe of Manasseh was 32,200.
36 From the descendants of Benjamin:(BM)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 37 The number from the tribe of Benjamin(BN) was 35,400.
38 From the descendants of Dan:(BO)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 39 The number from the tribe of Dan was 62,700.(BP)
40 From the descendants of Asher:(BQ)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 41 The number from the tribe of Asher(BR) was 41,500.
42 From the descendants of Naphtali:(BS)
All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 43 The number from the tribe of Naphtali(BT) was 53,400.(BU)
44 These were the men counted by Moses and Aaron(BV) and the twelve leaders of Israel, each one representing his family. 45 All the Israelites twenty years old or more(BW) who were able to serve in Israel’s army were counted according to their families.(BX) 46 The total number was 603,550.(BY)
47 The ancestral tribe of the Levites,(BZ) however, was not counted(CA) along with the others. 48 The Lord had said to Moses: 49 “You must not count the tribe of Levi or include them in the census of the other Israelites. 50 Instead, appoint the Levites to be in charge of the tabernacle(CB) of the covenant law(CC)—over all its furnishings(CD) and everything belonging to it. They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they are to take care of it and encamp around it. 51 Whenever the tabernacle(CE) is to move,(CF) the Levites are to take it down, and whenever the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall do it.(CG) Anyone else who approaches it is to be put to death.(CH) 52 The Israelites are to set up their tents by divisions, each of them in their own camp under their standard.(CI) 53 The Levites, however, are to set up their tents around the tabernacle(CJ) of the covenant law so that my wrath will not fall(CK) on the Israelite community. The Levites are to be responsible for the care of the tabernacle of the covenant law.(CL)”
54 The Israelites did all this just as the Lord commanded Moses.
