⁸Tulad ng malaking baha, lubos niyang pupuksain ang kanyang mga kaaway,
    at tutugisin sila hanggang mamatay.
⁹Ano ang binabalak ninyo laban kay Yahweh?
    Wawasakin niya ang kanyang mga kaaway,
    at ang paghihiganti nila'y di na mauulit pa.
¹⁰Tulad ng mga lasenggo, sila'y malulunod sa alak;
    tulad ng sala-salabat na mga tinik at tuyong dayami, kayo ay matutupok sa apoy.

New International Version

⁸ but with an overwhelming flood^(A)
he will make an end of Nineveh;
he will pursue his foes into the realm of darkness.

⁹Whatever they plot^(B) against the Lord
    he will bring^[a] to an end;
    trouble will not come a second time.
¹⁰They will be entangled among thorns^(C)
    and drunk^(D) from their wine;
    they will be consumed like dry stubble.^[b]^(E)
