¹⁸ Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; ^(A)I will make him a helper fit for^[a] him.”

²⁴ And Jacob was left alone. And ^(A)a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day.

¹⁷ Moses' father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is not good. ¹⁸ You and the people with you will certainly wear yourselves out, for the thing is too heavy for you. ^(A)You are not able to do it alone.
