12 Patrusim, Casluim (na pinanggalingan ng mga Filisteo), at ng Caftorim.

13 Si Canaan ang ama ni Sidon, na kanyang panganay, at ni Het,

14 at ng mga Jebuseo, mga Amoreo, mga Gergeseo,

15 ng mga Heveo, mga Araceo, mga Sineo,

16 ng mga taga-Arvad, mga Zemareo, at ng mga Hamateo.

17 Ang mga anak ni Sem ay sina Elam, Ashur, Arfaxad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Geter, at si Meshec.[d]

18 Si Arfaxad ang ama ni Shela, si Shela ang ama ni Eber.

19 At si Eber ay nagkaroon ng dalawang anak na lalaki: ang pangalan ng isa'y Peleg, sapagkat sa kanyang mga araw ay nahati ang lupa; at ang pangalan ng kanyang kapatid ay Joktan.

20 At naging anak ni Joktan sina Almodad, Shelef, Hazar-mavet, Jerah,

21 Hadoram, Uzal, Dicla;

22 Ebal, Abimael, Sheba;

23 Ofir, Havila, at Jobab. Lahat ng ito'y mga anak ni Joktan.

18 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah,

and Shelah the father of Eber.

19 Two sons were born to Eber:

One was named Peleg,[f] because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.

20 Joktan was the father of

Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 22 Obal,[g] Abimael, Sheba, 23 Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
