11 (A)Бъдете мои подражатели, както съм и аз на Христа.
2 (B)Похвалявам ви, братя, че ме помните за всичко и държите преданията тъй, както съм ви ги предал.
3 (C)Искам да знаете още, че глава на всеки мъж е Христос, а на жената глава е мъжът, на Христа пък глава е Бог.
4 Всеки мъж, който се моли или пророкува с покрита глава, засрамя главата си;
5 и всяка жена, която се моли или пророкува гологлава, засрамя главата си, защото все едно е, като да е обръсната;
6 ако жена не иска да се покрива, нека се стриже; ако пък е срамотно за жена да се стриже или бръсне, нека се покрива.
7 (D)И тъй, мъжът не бива да си покрива главата, защото е образ и слава Божия, а жената е слава на мъжа.
8 (E)Защото не мъжът е от жената, а жената е от мъжа;
9 и не мъжът е създаден за жената, а жената за мъжа.
10 Затова жената трябва да има на главата си знак на мъжова власт над нея заради Ангелите.
11 Но все пак нито мъж без жена, нито жена без мъж бива в Господа.
12 Защото, както жената е от мъжа, тъй и мъжът е чрез жената, а всичко е от Бога.
13 Разсъдете сами в себе си: прилично ли е жена да се моли Богу гологлава?
14 Нали и самата природа ви учи, че е безчестие за мъж, ако си оставя коса?
15 Но, ако жена си оставя коса, то е чест за нея, понеже косата ѝ е дадена вместо покривало.
16 Обаче, ако някой иска да се препира, ние нямаме такъв обичай, нито църквите Божии.
17 А по това, което ще говоря, няма да ви похвалявам, понеже не за по-добро се събирате, а за по-лошо.
18 (F)Защото, първо, чувам, че, кога се събирате в църква, се явявали разцепления помежду ви, което донейде и вярвам.
19 (G)Па и трябва да има помежду ви разногласие, за да изпъкнат достойните между вас.
20 Но тъй, както се събирате заедно, това не значи, че ядете Господня вечеря;
21 защото всеки бърза да изяде преди другите своята вечеря, тъй че един остава гладен, а друг се опива.
22 Нямате ли къщи, за да ядете и пиете? Или презирате църквата Божия и засрамяте ония, които са немотии? Какво да ви кажа? Да ви похваля ли за това? Не похвалявам.
23 (H)Аз приех от Господа това, що ви и предадох, а именно, че Господ Иисус през нощта, когато бе предаден, взе хляб и
24 поблагодари, преломи и каза: вземете, яжте, това е Моето тяло, за вас преломявано; това правете за Мой спомен.
25 Взе също и чашата подир вечеря и каза: тая чаша е новият завет в Моята кръв; това правете, колчем пиете, за Мой спомен.
26 Защото, колчем ядете тоя хляб, и пиете тая чаша, ще възвестявате смъртта на Господа, докле дойде Той.
27 (I)Затова, който яде тоя хляб или пие чашата Господня недостойно, виновен ще бъде спрямо тялото и кръвта Господня.
28 (J)Но нека човек да изпитва себе си, и тогава да яде от хляба и да пие от чашата.
29 Защото, който яде и пие недостойно, той яде и пие своето осъждане, понеже не различава тялото Господне.
30 Затова между вас има много немощни и болни, а и умират доста.
31 (K)Защото, ако бихме изпитвали сами себе си, нямаше да бъдем съдени;
32 а бидейки така съдени, от Господа се наказваме, за да не бъдем осъдени заедно със света.
33 Затова, братя мои, кога се събирате на вечеря, чакайте се един други.
34 Ако пък някой е гладен, нека яде вкъщи, за да се не събирате за осъждане. А останалото ще наредя, кога дойда.

2 Аз ви хваля, защото ме помните във всичко и следвате точно ученията, така както ви ги предадох. 3 Но искам да знаете, че Христос е глава на всеки мъж и мъжът е глава на жената, а Бог е глава на Христос. 4 Всеки мъж, който се моли или пророкува с покрита глава, посрамва главата си. 5 А всяка жена, която се моли или пророкува с непокрита глава, посрамва главата си. Защото това е същото както ако обръсне главата си. 6 Ако жената не покрива главата си, може също и да отреже косите си. Но понеже е срамно една жена да отреже косите си или да обръсне главата си, тя трябва да покрива главата си. 7 А мъжът не трябва да покрива главата си, защото той е Божият образ и слава, а жената е славата на мъжа, 8 защото не мъжът бе създаден от жената, а жената — от мъжа. 9 И не мъжът бе създаден за жената, а жената — за мъжа. 10 Затова жената трябва да покрива главата си в знак на това, че е подвластна, а също и заради ангелите.
11 Но в Господа нито жената е независима от мъжа, нито мъжът е независим от жената, 12 защото както жената е създадена от мъжа, така и мъжът е роден от жена, а всичко е от Бога. 13 Сами преценете дали е прилично една жена да се моли на Бога с непокрита глава. 14 Нима самата природа не ви учи, че за мъжа е срамно да остави косата си дълга, 15 а за жената е чест да я носи дълга, защото косата й е дадена, за да покрива главата си? 16 Някои може да поискат да спорят, но нека подчертая, че нито ние, нито Божиите църкви следваме тяхната практика.
Господната вечеря
17 А с това, което сега ще ви кажа, няма да ви хваля, защото се събирате не за по-добро, а за по-лошо. 18 Първо, чувам, че когато се съберете, между вас има разцепления и вярвам, че в това има някаква истина. 19 А и трябва да има разделения сред вас, за да може достойните да изпъкнат! 20 И така, когато се съберете, вие всъщност не ядете Господната вечеря,[a] 21 защото когато се храните, никой не чака останалите и един се напива, а друг остава гладен. 22 Нямате ли си къщи, в които да ядете и пиете? Или презирате Божията църква и се опитвате да засрамите бедните? Какво да ви кажа? Да ви похваля ли? За това няма да ви похваля.
23 Защото от Господа получих учението, което ви предадох: вечерта, когато бе арестуван, Господ Исус взе един хляб 24 и след като благодари, го разчупи и каза: „Това е моето тяло, което давам за вас. 11 (A)Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.
2 Now (B)I praise you because you (C)remember me in everything and (D)hold firmly to the traditions, just as I handed them down to you. 3 But I want you to understand that Christ is the (E)head of every man, and [a](F)the man is the head of a woman, and God is the (G)head of Christ. 4 Every man who has something on his head while praying or (H)prophesying disgraces his head. 5 But every (I)woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head, for it is one and the same as the woman [b]whose head is (J)shaved. 6 For if a woman does not cover [c]her head, have her also [d]cut her hair off; however, if it is disgraceful for a woman to [e]have her hair cut off or [f]her head shaved, have her cover [g]her head. 7 For a man should not have his head covered, since he is the (K)image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. 8 For (L)man [h]does not originate from woman, but woman from man; 9 for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but (M)woman for the man’s sake. 10 Therefore the woman should have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. 11 However, in the Lord, neither is woman [i]independent of man, nor is man [j]independent of woman. 12 For as the woman originated from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and (N)all things originate (O)from God. 13 (P)Judge [k]for yourselves: is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does even nature itself not teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him, 15 but if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her? For her hair is given to her as a covering. 16 But if anyone is inclined to be contentious, (Q)we have no [l]such practice, nor have (R)the churches of God.
17 Now in giving this next instruction (S)I do not praise you, because you come together not for the better, but for the worse. 18 For, in the first place, when you come together [m]as a church, I hear that [n](T)divisions exist among you; and in part I believe it. 19 For there also (U)have to be factions among you, (V)so that those who are approved may become [o]evident among you. 20 Therefore when you come together it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper, 21 for when you eat, each one takes his own supper first; and one goes hungry while (W)another gets drunk. 22 What! Do you not have houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the (X)church of God and (Y)shame those who have nothing? What am I to say to you? Shall (Z)I praise you? In this I do not praise you.
The Lord’s Supper
23 For (AA)I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that (AB)the Lord Jesus, on the night when He was betrayed, took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same way He also took (AC)the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the (AD)new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death (AE)until He comes.
27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy way, shall be (AF)guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 28 But a person must (AG)examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For the one who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not properly recognize the [p]body. 30 For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number [q](AH)are asleep. 31 But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are (AI)disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with (AJ)the world.
33 So then, my brothers and sisters, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. 34 If anyone is (AK)hungry, have him eat (AL)at home, so that you do not come together for judgment. As to the remaining matters, I will (AM)give instructions (AN)when I come.

Head Coverings
2 I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you. 3 But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. 4 Any man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, 5 but any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled dishonors her head—it is the same as if her head were shaven. 6 For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil. 7 For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 (For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. 9 Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.) 10 That is why a woman ought to have a veil[a] on her head, because of the angels. 11 (Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman; 12 for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God.) 13 Judge for yourselves; is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not nature itself teach you that for a man to wear long hair is degrading to him, 15 but if a woman has long hair, it is her pride? For her hair is given to her for a covering. 16 If any one is disposed to be contentious, we recognize no other practice, nor do the churches of God.
Abuses at the Lord’s Supper
17 But in the following instructions I do not commend you, because when you come together it is not for the better but for the worse. 18 For, in the first place, when you assemble as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you; and I partly believe it, 19 for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized. 20 When you meet together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat.[b] 21 For in eating, each one goes ahead with his own meal, and one is hungry and another is drunk. 22 What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, I will not.
The Institution of the Lord’s Supper
23 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for[c] you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Partaking of the Supper Unworthily
27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For any one who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself. 30 That is why many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.[d] 31 But if we judged ourselves truly, we should not be judged. 32 But when we are judged by the Lord, we are chastened[e] so that we may not be condemned along with the world.
33 So then, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another— 34 if any one is hungry, let him eat at home—lest you come together to be condemned. About the other things I will give directions when I come.
