9 (A)И рече им: истина ви казвам: тук стоят някои, които няма да вкусят смърт, докле не видят царството Божие, дошло в сила.
2 (B)И след шест дни Иисус взе със Себе Си Петра, Иакова и Иоана и възведе ги сами на висока планина насаме, и се преобрази пред тях.
3 Дрехите Му станаха бляскави, твърде бели, като сняг, каквито белилник на земята не може избели.
4 И яви им се Илия с Моисея, и разговаряха с Иисуса.
5 Тогава Петър заговори и рече на Иисуса: Рави, добре е да бъдем тук; да направим три сенника: за Тебе един, за Моисея един, и един за Илия.
6 Защото не знаеше какво да каже, понеже бяха уплашени.
7 И яви се облак, та ги засени, и от облака дойде глас, който казваше: Този е Моят възлюбен Син; Него слушайте!
8 И отведнъж, като погледнаха наоколо, никого вече не видяха със себе си, освен едного Иисуса.
9 А когато слизаха от планината, Той им заповяда да не обаждат никому, що видяха, освен кога Син Човечески възкръсне от мъртвите.
10 И те удържаха тая дума, питайки се един други, що значи това: да възкръсне от мъртвите?
11 (C)И Го питаха, като Му казваха: а защо книжниците казват, че първом Илия трябва да дойде?
12 (D)Той пък им отговори и рече: Илия, първом като дойде, ще уреди всичко; а Син Човечески, както е писано за Него, трябвада пострада много и да бъде унижен.
13 (E)Но казвам ви, че и Илия дойде, както е писано за него, и сториха му, каквото си искаха.
14 Като дойде при учениците, видя много народ около тях и книжниците, които се препираха с тях.
15 Щом Го видя, целият народ се слиса, и като се стекоха, поздравяваха Го.
16 Той попита книжниците: за какво се препирате с тях?
17 (F)Един от народа отговори и рече: Учителю, доведох при Тебе сина си, хванат от ням дух:
18 дето и да го прехване, тръшка го, и той се запеня, и скърца със зъби, и се вцепенява. Говорих на учениците Ти да го изгонят, ала не можаха.
19 Иисус му отговори и рече: о, роде неверен, докога ще бъда с вас? докога ще ви търпя? Доведете го при Мене!
20 И доведоха го при Него. Щом бесният Го видя, духът го стресе; той падна на земята и се валяше запенен.
21 И попита Иисус баща му: колко време има, откак му става това? Той отговори: от детинство;
22 и много пъти духът го хвърляше и в огън, и във вода, за да го погуби; но, ако можеш нещо, смили се над нас и ни помогни.
23 (G)Иисус му рече: ако можеш да повярваш, всичко е възможно за вярващия.
24 И веднага бащата на момчето викна и със сълзи казваше: вярвам, Господи! помогни на неверието ми.
25 А Иисус, като видя, че се стича народ, запрети на нечистия дух и му рече: дух неми и глухи, Аз ти заповядвам: излез из него, и не влизай вече в него!
26 И духът, като изкрещя и го стресе силно, излезе; а момчето стана като мъртво, та мнозина казваха, че то е умряло.
27 Но Иисус, като го хвана за ръка, изправи го; и то стана.
28 И като влезе Иисус в една къща, учениците Му Го попитаха насаме: защо не можахме ние да го изгоним?
29 Отговори им: тоя род с нищо не може да излезе, освен с молитва и пост.
30 Като излязоха оттам, минуваха през Галилея; и Той не искаше някой да узнае.
31 (H)Защото учеше учениците Си и им казваше, че Син Човечески ще бъде предаден в човешки ръце, и ще Го убият, и на третия ден след убиването ще възкръсне.
32 Но те не разбираха тия думи и се бояха да Го попитат.
33 Дойдоха в Капернаум; и когато Той беше вкъщи, попита ги: за какво разсъждавахте из пътя помежду си?
34 Те мълчаха, понеже из пътя бяха разговаряли помежду си, кой е по-голям.
35 И като седна, повика дванайсетте и им рече: който иска да бъде пръв, нека бъде най-последен от всички и на всички слуга.
36 (I)И като взе едно дете, изправи го посред тях, прегърна го и им рече:
37 който приеме едно такова дете в Мое име, Мене приема, а който Мене приема, приема не Мене, а Тогова, Който Ме е пратил.
38 (J)Тогава Иоан Му отговори и рече: Учителю, видяхме един човек, който в Твое име изгонваше бесове, а не върви след нас; и му запретихме, защото не ходи след нас.
39 (K)А Иисус рече: не му запрещавайте, понеже никой, който извърши чудо в Мое име, не ще може наскоро да Ме злослови.
40 Защото, който не е против вас, той е за вас.
41 (L)И който ви напои с чаша вода в Мое име, защото сте Христови, истина ви казвам, няма да изгуби наградата си.
42 (M)А който съблазни едного от тия малките, които вярват в Мене, за него е подобре, ако му надянат воденичен камък на шията и го хвърлят в морето.
43 (N)И ако те съблазнява ръката ти, отсечи я: по-добре е за тебе без ръка да влезеш в живота, отколкото да имаш две ръце, и да отидеш в геената, в неугасимия огън,
44 (O)дето червеят им не умира, и огънят не угасва.
45 И ако те съблазнява ногата ти, отсечи я: по-добре е за тебе хром да влезеш в живота, отколкото да имаш две нозе, и да бъдеш хвърлен в геената, в неугасимия огън,
46 дето червеят им не умира, и огънят не угасва.
47 И ако те съблазнява окото ти, извади го; по-добре е за тебе с едно око да влезеш в царството Божие, отколкото да имаш две очи, и да бъдеш хвърлен в огнената геена,
48 дето червеят им не умира, и огънят не угасва.
49 (P)Защото всеки с огън ще се осоли, и всяка жертва със сол ще се осоли.
50 (Q)Добро нещо е солта; но, ако солта стане безсолна, с какво ще я подправите? Имайте в себе си сол, и мир имайте помежду си.

4 И яви им се Илия с Моисея, които разговаряха с Исуса.
5 А Петър проговори, казвайки на Исуса: Учителю, добре е да сме тука; и нека направим три шатри, за Тебе една, за Моисея една и една за Илия;
6 защото не знаеше какво да отговори, понеже почнаха да се плашат много.
7 И яви се облак и ги засени; и глас дойде из облака, <който каза>: Този е Моят възлюблен Син; Него слушайте.
8 И внезапно, като се озърнаха, не видяха вече никого при себе си, освен Исуса.
9 И като слизаха от планината, заръча им да не казват никому това що бяха видели, освен когато Човешкият Син бъде възкресен от мъртвите.
10 И те пазеха тая поръчка, като разискваха помежду си що значи да възкръсне от мъртвите.
11 И попитаха Го, казвайки: Защо думат книжниците, че трябва първо Илия да дойде?
12 А Той им каза: Наистина Илия първо ще дойде и ще възстанови всичко. И как е писано за Човешкия Син? - <писано е>, че трябва да пострада много и да бъде унизен.
13 Но казвам ви, че Илия е <вече> дошъл, и те постъпиха с него както си искаха, според както си искаха, според както е писано за него.
14 И когато дойдоха при учениците, видяха около тях едно голямо множество, и книжници, които се препираха с тях.
15 И веднага, като Го видя цялото множество, смая се, стекоха се и Го поздравяваха.
16 И Той ги попита: За какво се препирате с тях?
17 И един от народа Му отговори: Учителю, доведох при Тебе сина си, който има ням дух.
18 И гдето и да го прехване, тръшка го; и той се запеня, скърца със зъби, и се вцепенява; и говорих на Твоите ученици да изгонят <беса>, но не можаха.
19 А Той в отговор им каза: О роде невярващ, до кога ще бъда до кога ще бъда с вас? До кога ще ви търпя? Доведете го при Мене.
20 И доведоха го при Него. И като Го видя <хванатият от бяс>, веднага духът го сгърчи; и той падна на земята и се валяше запенен.
21 И попита Исус баща му: Колко време има от как му е станало това? А той каза: От детинство.
22 И много пъти го е хвърлял и в огън, и във вода, за да го погуби; но ако можеш стори нещо, смили се за нас и помогни ни.
23 А Исус му рече: Ако можеш повярва! Всичко е възможно за този, който вярва.
24 Веднага бащата на детето извика, казвайки: Вярвам [Господи]! помогни на моето неверие.
25 А Исус, като видя, че се стича народ, смъмра нечистия дух, казвайки му: Душе неми и глухи, Аз ти заповядвам: Излез от него, и да не влезеш вече в него.
26 И <духът>, като изпищя и го сгърчи силно, излезе; и <детето> стана като мъртво, така щото болшинството, думаха, че е умряло.
27 Но Исус го хвана за ръката и го дигна; и то стана,
28 И когато влезе вкъщи, учениците Му Го попитаха насаме: Защо ние не можахме да го изгоним?
29 И каза им: Тоя род с нищо не може да излезе, освен с молитва [и пост].
30 И като излязоха оттам, минаваха през Галилея; и Той искаше никой да не узнае това.
31 Защото учеше учениците Си, като им казваше: Човешкият Син ще бъде предаден в ръцете на човеци, и ще Го убият; и след като Го убият, подир три дни ще възкръсне.
32 Но те не разбраха думата и бояха се да Го попитат.
33 И дойдоха в Капернаум; и когато влезе вкъщи попита ги: Какво разисквахте из пътя?
34 А те мълчаха, защото по пътя бяха се препирали помежду си кой е по-голям?
35 И като седна, повика дванадесетте и каза им: Който иска да бъде пръв, ще бъде от всички последен и на всички служител.
36 Тогава взе едно детенце и го постави посред тях; и като го прегърна рече им:
37 Който приеме едно от тези дечица в Мое име, и Мене приема; и който приеме Мене, приема не Мене, но Този Който Ме е пратил.
38 Иоан Му каза: Учителю, видяхме един човек да изгонва бесове в Твое име; и му запретихме, защото не следваше нас.
39 А Исус рече: Недейте му запрещава, защото няма никой, който да извърши велико дело в Мое име, и да може скоро< след това> да Ме злослови.
40 Понеже оня, който не е против нас, е откъм нас.
41 Защото който ви напои с чаша вода, понеже сте Христови, истина ви казвам: той никак няма да изгуби наградата си.
42 А който съблазни едно от тия скромните, които вярват в Мене, за него би било по-добре да се окачи голям воденичен камък на врата му и да бъде хвърлен в морето.
43 И ако те съблазни ръката ти, отсечи я; по-добре е за тебе да влезеш в живота недъгав, отколкото да имаш двете си ръце и да отидеш в пъкъла, в неугасимия огън,
44 [дето "червеят им не умира, и огънят не угасва"].
45 И ако ногата ти те съблазни, отсечи я; по-добре е за тебе да влезеш в живота куц, отколкото да имаш двете си нозе и да бъдеш хвърлен в пъкъла,
46 [дето "червеят им не умира и огънят не угасва"].
47 И ако окото ти те съблазни, извади го; по-добре е за тебе да влезеш в Божието царство с едно око, отколкото да имаш двете си очи и да бъдеш хвърлен в пъкъла,
48 дето "червеят им не умира, и огънят не угасва".
49 Защото всеки ще се осоли с огън, [и всяка жертва ще се осоли със сол].
50 Добро нещо е солта; но ако солта стане безсолна, с какво ще я подправите? Имайте сол в себе си, и мир имайте помежду си.

9 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.
3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
4 And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
8 And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
10 And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.
11 And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.
13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.
14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.
16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?
17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
30 And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.
31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
32 But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.
33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?
34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

The Transfiguration(C)(D)
2 After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John(E) with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. 3 His clothes became dazzling white,(F) whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them. 4 And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus.
5 Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi,(G) it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” 6 (He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.)
7 Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud:(H) “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!”(I)
8 Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus.
9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone(J) what they had seen until the Son of Man(K) had risen from the dead. 10 They kept the matter to themselves, discussing what “rising from the dead” meant.
11 And they asked him, “Why do the teachers of the law say that Elijah must come first?”
12 Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah does come first, and restores all things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man(L) must suffer much(M) and be rejected?(N) 13 But I tell you, Elijah has come,(O) and they have done to him everything they wished, just as it is written about him.”
Jesus Heals a Boy Possessed by an Impure Spirit(P)
14 When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them. 15 As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.
16 “What are you arguing with them about?” he asked.
17 A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. 18 Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.”
19 “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”
20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.(Q)
21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”
“From childhood,” he answered. 22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”(R)
24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene,(S) he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”
26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.
28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately,(T) “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer.[a]”
Jesus Predicts His Death a Second Time(U)
30 They left that place and passed through Galilee. Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were, 31 because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, “The Son of Man(V) is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him,(W) and after three days(X) he will rise.”(Y) 32 But they did not understand what he meant(Z) and were afraid to ask him about it.
33 They came to Capernaum.(AA) When he was in the house,(AB) he asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?” 34 But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.(AC)
35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”(AD)
36 He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms,(AE) he said to them, 37 “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”(AF)
Whoever Is Not Against Us Is for Us(AG)
38 “Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.”(AH)
39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40 for whoever is not against us is for us.(AI) 41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.(AJ)
Causing to Stumble
42 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble,(AK) it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.(AL) 43 If your hand causes you to stumble,(AM) cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell,(AN) where the fire never goes out.(AO) [44] [b] 45 And if your foot causes you to stumble,(AP) cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.(AQ) [46] [c] 47 And if your eye causes you to stumble,(AR) pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,(AS) 48 where
49 Everyone will be salted(AU) with fire.
50 “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again?(AV) Have salt among yourselves,(AW) and be at peace with each other.”(AX)
