2 (A)Ни той, ни слугите му, нито народът на страната не слушаха думите на Господа, които Той говори чрез пророк Иеремия.
3 (B)Цар Седекия изпрати Иехухала, Селемиев син, и свещеник Софония, Маасеев син, при пророк Иеремия да кажат: „помоли се зарад нас на нашия Господ Бог“.
4 Иеремия тогава още свободно влизаше и излизаше всред народа, защото не бяха го още затворили в тъмница.

Jeremiah 37:2-4
New International Version
2 Neither he nor his attendants nor the people of the land paid any attention(A) to the words the Lord had spoken through Jeremiah the prophet.
3 King Zedekiah, however, sent(B) Jehukal(C) son of Shelemiah with the priest Zephaniah(D) son of Maaseiah to Jeremiah the prophet with this message: “Please pray(E) to the Lord our God for us.”
4 Now Jeremiah was free to come and go among the people, for he had not yet been put in prison.(F)
