²⁰ In that day I will call my servant ^(A)Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, ²¹ and ^(B)I will clothe him with your robe, and will bind your sash on him, and will commit your authority to his hand. And he shall be ^(C)a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. ²² And I will place ^(D)on his shoulder ^(E)the key of the house of David. ^(F)He shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. ²³ And I will fasten him ^(G)like a peg in a secure place, and he will become ^(H)a throne of honor to his father's house.

^2 (A)The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, ^(B)who is called Peter, and ^(C)Andrew his brother; ^(D)James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

¹⁸ And I tell you, ^(A)you are Peter, and ^(B)on this rock^[a] I will build my church, and ^(C)the gates of ^(D)hell^[b] shall not prevail against it. ¹⁹ I will give you ^(E)the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and ^(F)whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed^[c] in heaven.”

³² but ^(A)I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, ^(B)strengthen your brothers.”

¹⁷ He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him ^(A)the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, ^(B)you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed ^(C)my sheep.

Peter's Sermon at Pentecost

¹⁴ But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.

⁴⁶ For they were hearing them ^(A)speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared,

¹⁸ Then ^(A)after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas and remained with him fifteen days.
