Or without any of these, your enemies could have been cut down by a single breath—pursued by your justice and crushed by a powerful breath. But you have set all things in right order by proportion: by measure, by number, and by weight.
Whereof not only the hurt might be able to destroy them, but also the very sight might kill them through fear.
But this was not necessary. You could have pursued them with your justice or struck them dead at the slightest hint of your power. But you have chosen to measure, count, and weigh everything you do.
Even without these, they could have been killed at a single blast, pursued by justice and winnowed by your mighty spirit. But you have disposed all things by measure and number and weight.
