Those who did what is right were also touched by a test of death when many fell in the desert. But that wrath didn’t last long,
But the just also were afterwards touched by an assault of death, and there was a disturbance of the multitude in the wilderness: but thy wrath did not long continue.
Death also came to the righteous nation, for an epidemic struck many of them while they were in the desert, but your anger did not last long.
The trial of death touched even the righteous, and in the desert a plague struck the multitude; Yet not for long did the anger last.
Even the righteous were touched by the experience of death when large numbers of them were struck down by a plague in the wilderness. But the wrath did not endure for long.
