In contrast, an incredible light shone all around your holy ones. Their enemies heard their voices, but couldn’t see their physical forms. They considered your holy ones fortunate, since they weren’t suffering as their enemies were.
But thy saints had a very great light, and they heard their voice indeed, but did not see their shape. And because they also did not suffer the same things, they glorified thee:
Yet all the while a brilliant light was shining for your holy people. Their enemies heard their voices, but couldn't see them. They envied the good fortune of your people, who were not suffering.
But your holy ones had very great light; And those others, who heard their voices but did not see their forms, counted them blest for not having suffered;
But for your holy ones there shone a very great light. Their enemies who heard their voices but did not see their forms considered them blessed because they had not also suffered.
But for your holy ones there was very great light. Their enemies heard their voices but did not see their forms, and counted them happy for not having suffered,
