Wisdom 16:14

Humans can indeed kill by their evil, but they can’t bring back the life that has expired or restore the spirit that has been taken away.
A man indeed killeth through malice, and when the spirit is gone forth, it shall not return, neither shall he call back the soul that is received:
A wicked person may kill someone, but cannot bring the dead person back to life or rescue a soul imprisoned in the world of the dead.
Human beings, however, may kill another with malice, but they cannot bring back the departed spirit, or release the soul that death has confined.
whereas, man may slay in malice, but he has no power to restore the breath of life or to set free the soul imprisoned by death.
A person in wickedness kills another, but cannot bring back the departed spirit, or set free the imprisoned soul.
A person in wickedness kills another, but cannot bring back the departed spirit, or set free the imprisoned soul.
A person in wickedness kills another, but cannot bring back the departed spirit, or set free the imprisoned soul.
A person in wickedness kills another but cannot bring back the departed spirit or set free the imprisoned soul.
A man in his wickedness kills another, but he cannot bring back the departed spirit, nor set free the imprisoned soul.
A man in his wickedness kills another, but he cannot bring back the departed spirit, nor set free the imprisoned soul.
But soothly a man slayeth his soul by malice; and when the spirit is gone out, it shall not (re)turn again, neither the body shall again-call the soul, which is received; [A man forsooth slayeth by malice his soul; and when the spirit goeth out, he shall not turn again, nor the soul, that is received, shall again-call;]
