Wisdom 15:4
The misguided art of humans didn’t deceive us, nor did the fruitless labor of clever painters even when they created an image that was dazzling in its combination of colors.
For the invention of mischievous men hath not deceived us, nor the shadow of a picture, a fruitless labour, a graven figure with divers colours,
We have not been misled by any evil product of human skill, by any useless object painted by some artist, or by any idol smeared with different colors.
For the evil creation of human fancy did not deceive us, nor the fruitless labor of painters, A form smeared with varied colors,
We have not been led astray by the evil creations of human skill or by the barren toil of painters, figures covered over with varied colors,
For neither has the evil intent of human art misled us, nor the fruitless toil of painters, a figure stained with varied colours,
