That’s us! We came into being, and almost immediately afterward, we died. We leave behind no evidence of virtue. We squandered what we had in bad living.
So we also being born, forthwith ceased to be: and have been able to shew no mark of virtue: but are consumed in our wickedness.
It is the same with us—we were born, and then we ceased to be. We left no sign of virtue behind us; we were destroyed by our wickedness.
Even so, once born, we abruptly came to nought and held no sign of virtue to display, but were consumed in our wickedness.”

Right so we born ceased anon (or at once) to be, and soothly we might show no sign of virtue; but we were wasted in our malice. They that sinned, said such things in hell (or in the grave).
