Tobit 8:12
and said, “Send one of the female servants in to see if he’s alive. If he’s dead, let’s bury him so that no one knows what has happened.”
For he said: Lest perhaps it may have happened to him, in like manner as it did to the other seven husbands, that went in unto her.
Send one of the servant women to find out if Tobias is still alive. If he isn't, then we will bury him before anyone finds out.
saying, “Send one of the maids in to see whether he is alive. If he has died, let us bury him without anyone knowing about it.”
saying, “Send one of the maids into the room to see whether Tobiah is still alive. If he should be dead, let us bury him so that no one will know anything about it.”

For he dreaded, lest it had befallen in like manner to Tobias, that befelled also to the other seven men, that entered into wedlock to (or with) Sarah before.
