Sirach 9:17
A handicraft is praised because of the craftsperson’s skill, and the one who leads a people is wise in speech.
Be not pleased with the wrong done by the unjust, knowing that even to hell the wicked shall not please.
A skilled worker is admired for the things he makes, and a leader's wisdom is proved by his words.
Work by skilled hands will earn praise; but the people’s leader is proved wise by his words.
Artisans are praised for the skill of their hands, but a leader of the people is esteemed for his words of wisdom.
A work is praised for the skill of the artisan; so a people’s leader is proved wise by his words.
A work is praised for the skill of the artisan; so a people’s leader is proved wise by his words.
