Don’t neglect the conversation of the wise, but keep returning to their proverbs, because you will learn instruction from them, how to minister to dignitaries.
Rejoice not at the death of thy enemy; knowing that we all die, and are not willing that others should rejoice at our death.
Do not disregard what the wise have said. Study their proverbs; from them you can learn to be cultured and to serve great people.
Do not neglect the discourse of the wise, but busy yourself with their proverbs; For in this way you will acquire the training to stand in the presence of princes.
Ignore not the discourse of the wise, but familiarize yourself with their maxims, since from these you will gain instruction and learn the art of serving the great.
Do not slight the discourse of the sages, but busy yourself with their maxims; because from them you will learn discipline and how to serve princes.
