as well as the arrowlike tongue of the unrighteous. My soul approached death, and my life was on the edge of the grave below.
From the oppression of the flame which surrounded me, and in the midst of the fire I was not burnt.
I was once brought face-to-face with death;
from the arrows of a treacherous tongue. I was at the point of death, my life was nearing the depths of Sheol;
and a treacherous slander delivered to the king. I was at the point of death, and my soul was hovering near the depths of the netherworld.
