Sirach 46:8
So out of six hundred thousand soldiers, the two were spared to lead the people into their inheritance, into a land full of milk and honey.
That the nations might know his power, that it is not easy to fight against God. And he followed the mighty one:
Out of the 600,000 Israelites who marched through the wilderness, these two were the only ones spared and allowed to enter the rich and fertile land that was to be theirs.
Because of this, these two alone were spared from the six hundred thousand infantry, To lead the people into their heritage, the land flowing with milk and honey.
And these two alone were spared out of six hundred thousand infantry, to lead the people into their inheritance, the land flowing with milk and honey.
