Sirach 31:4
Poor people have worked to eke out a living, and when they rest, they become needy again.
The poor man hath laboured in his low way of life, and in the end he is still poor.
Poor people work hard and have nothing to show for it, and when they rest, they are still poor.
The poor labor for a meager living, and if they ever rest, they become needy.
The poor man toils to eke out a meager living, and if he ever rests he finds himself in want.
The poor person toils to make a meagre living, and if ever he rests he becomes needy.
The poor person toils to make a meagre living, and if ever he rests he becomes needy.
The poor person toils to make a meager living, and if ever he rests he becomes needy.
Poor people toil to make a meager living, and if ever they rest, they become needy.
The poor man toils as his livelihood diminishes, and when he rests he becomes needy.

A poor man travailed in (the) decreasing [or in the less(en)ing] of (his) lifelode; and in the end he is made needy. (A poor man worked hard, even though his livelihood continued to decrease; and in the end, he is still needy.)
