A wicked wife is like a chafing ox yoke; the one who holds her is like one who grasps a scorpion.
And a false calumny, all are more grievous than death.
A bad wife is like a yoke that doesn't fit. Trying to control her is like holding a scorpion.
A wicked wife is a chafing yoke; taking hold of her is like grasping a scorpion.
A bad wife is like a yoke that does not fit; trying to control her is more difficult than handling a scorpion.
