Sirach 25:2
My whole being despises three types of persons, and I am angered by the way they live: an arrogant poor person, a rich liar, an old adulterer who never learns.
The concord of brethren, and the love of neighbours, and man and wife that agree well together.
There are three kinds of people I cannot stand, whose behavior I find highly offensive: poor people who are arrogant, rich people who lie, and foolish old men who commit adultery.
Three kinds of people I hate, and I loathe their manner of life: A proud pauper, a rich liar, and a lecherous old fool.
There are three kinds of men I hate, for their manner of life I consider loathsome: a pride-filled poor man, a lying rich man, and a lecherous old fool.
