Those who aren’t clever won’t receive instruction, but there is a kind of cleverness that makes troubles multiply.
He that keepeth justice shall get the understanding thereof.
You have to be intelligent to learn anything; but there is such a thing as just pretending to be intelligent, which only makes people bitter.
One who is not clever can never be taught, but there is a cleverness filled with bitterness.
The one who is not clever cannot be taught, but there is a cleverness that is a source of bitterness.
One who is not clever cannot be taught, but there is a cleverness that increases bitterness.
