Sirach 13:11
Imprimir
Don’t think that you can speak with them as an equal, and don’t trust in their lengthy conversations, because they will test you with a lot of talking; and when they are smiling, they are really examining you.
Be not lowly in thy wisdom, lest being humbled thou be deceived into folly.
Don't pretend to be his equal or trust everything he says. In spite of all of his long and polite conversation, he is testing you.
Do not venture to be free with them, do not trust their many words; For by prolonged talk they will test you, and though smiling they will probe you.
Do not try to converse with him as an equal, or trust his effusive words. The more he speaks, the more he is testing you, and while he smiles he is evaluating you.
Do not try to treat him as an equal, or trust his lengthy conversations; for he will test you by prolonged talk, and while he smiles he will be examining you.
Do not try to treat him as an equal, or trust his lengthy conversations; for he will test you by prolonged talk, and while he smiles he will be examining you.
Do not try to treat him as an equal, or trust his lengthy conversations; for he will test you by prolonged talk, and while he smiles he will be examining you.
Do not try to treat them as equals or trust their lengthy conversations, for they will test you by prolonged talk, and while they smile they will be examining you.
Do not try to treat him as an equal, nor trust his abundance of words; for he will test you through much talk, and while he smiles he will be examining you.
Do not try to treat him as an equal, nor trust his abundance of words; for he will test you through much talk, and while he smiles he will be examining you.
Withhold thou not to speak with him evenly [or Not withhold thou of even to speak with him], that is, speak thou to him without reverence, and believe thou not to his many words; for of (or with) much speech he shall tempt thee, and he shall laugh privily, and shall ask thee of (or about) thine hid things.
