Don’t take pride in the way you dress, and don’t promote yourself when you are being honored, because the Lord’s works are wonderful, and his works are hidden from humans.
Glory not in apparel at any time, and be not exalted in the day of thy honour: for the works of the Highest only are wonderful, and his works are glorious, and secret, and hidden.
Don't make fun of someone who has fallen on hard times and is dressed in rags. The Lord does wonderful things that human beings never notice.
Do not mock the one who wears only a loin-cloth, or scoff at a person’s bitter day. For strange are the deeds of the Lord, hidden from mortals his work.
Do not boast about your elegant clothes, or become proud when you receive honors. For the works of the Lord are marvelous, but his works are hidden from humans.
