Human arrogance begins when people rebel against the Lord, and their hearts rebel against the one who made them.
The physician cutteth off a short sickness: so also a king is to day, and to morrow he shall die.
Pride has its beginning when a person abandons the Lord, his maker.
The beginning of pride is stubbornness in withdrawing the heart from one’s Maker.
The beginning of human pride is the forsaking of the Lord, the withdrawal of one’s heart from its Maker.
The beginning of human pride is to forsake the Lord; the heart has withdrawn from its Maker.
The beginning of human pride is to forsake the Lord; the heart has withdrawn from its Maker.
