Don’t become poor by feasting with borrowed money, when you have nothing in your pocket.
Make not thyself poor by borrowing to contribute to feasts when thou hast nothing in thy purse: for thou shalt be an enemy to thy own life.
Don't make yourself a beggar by borrowing for expensive banquets when you don't have enough money of your own.
Do not become a glutton and a drunkard with nothing in your purse.
Do not become a beggar by feasting on credit when you have nothing in your money bag. [For you will be plotting against your own life.]
