When she finished speaking, the people gave a great shout and made a joyful noise in their city.
And they that were in the tent came, and made a noise before the door of the chamber to awake him, endeavouring by art to break his rest, that Holofernes might awake, not by their calling him, but by their noise.
When she had finished her story, the people cheered so loudly that the whole town echoed with sounds of joy.

[Forsooth they, that were coming in(to) the tabernacle, and before the incoming of the privy chamber making noise, for end to rear him, by craft cast unrest, that not of the rearers, but of the noise makers Holofernes should awaken.]
