Then all the rulers of the Edomites, all the leaders of the Moabites, and the commanders of the coastland came to him and said:
But the children of Ammon and Moab came to Holofernes, saying: The children of Israel trust not in their spears, nor in their arrows, but the mountains are their defense, and the steep hires and precipices guard them.
All the leaders of the Edomite and Moabite forces, along with the commanders of the troops from the Mediterranean coast, came to Holofernes and said,
All the rulers of the Edomites, all the leaders of the Moabites, together with the generals of the coastal region, came to Holofernes and said:
All the chieftains of the Edomites and all the leaders of the Moabites, together with the commanders of the coastal region, jointly approached him.
Then all the chieftains of the Edomites and all the leaders of the Moabites and the commanders of the coastland came to him and said,
Then all the chieftains of the Edomites and all the leaders of the Moabites and the commanders of the coastland came to him and said,

Then all the chieftains of the people of Esau and all the leaders of the Mo′abites and the commanders of the coastland came to him and said,
But the sons of Ammon (or of Edom) and of Moab nighed to (or approached) Holofernes, and they said to him, The sons of Israel trust not in spear and arrow, but (the) hills [or the mountains] defend them, and (the) little hills set in the rock of stone make them strong.
