spitting out the meat. In this he showed how everyone ought to stand fast and reject what isn’t lawful to taste despite the intense desire to live.
And considering in what manner he was come to it, patiently bearing, he determined not to do any unlawful things for the love of life.
But he preferred an honorable death rather than a life of disgrace. So he spit out the meat and went willingly to the place of torture, showing how people should have courage to refuse unclean food, even if it costs them their lives.
spitting out the meat as they should do who have the courage to reject food unlawful to taste even for love of life.
as should be done by all who have the courage to reject the food that it is not lawful to eat, suppressing the natural desire to save their lives.
as all ought to go who have the courage to refuse things that it is not right to taste, even for the natural love of life.
as all ought to go who have the courage to refuse things that it is not right to taste, even for the natural love of life.
as all ought to go who have the courage to refuse things that it is not right to taste, even for the natural love of life.
spitting it out as all ought to go who have the courage to refuse things that it is not right to taste, even for the natural love of life.
as men ought to go who have the courage to refuse things that it is not right to taste, even for the natural love of life.
as men ought to go who have the courage to refuse things that it is not right to taste, even for the natural love of life.
Forsooth he beheld how it behooved for to go, and suffered patiently, and ordained for to not do unleaveful (or unlawful) things for the love of life.
